Before You, We had No One

Packing

-Mon El's POV-

From the moment I woke up this morning, it became hectic trying to get everyone out of the house on time.
We have to drive to London which is 5 hours away if we don't stop and we all have a flight back home at 7 pm.
We have to be out of the lodge by 10 in the morning as well so Kara and Eliza have been up since 6:30 making sure that everything is packed because last night we all fell asleep instead of beginning on our packing.

-Kara's POV-

"Mon-el, where is the kids’ shampoo? I can't find it" I yell from the bathroom as I rummage through the toiletries box.
I don't remember packing it.
"It's in Isaac and Bryn's swimming bag!" Mon-el yells back from the kitchen.
I snap the silver lid back on the box before carrying it easily towards the front porch where all the other packed bags are.
"Mon el once you have finished your breakfast can you please dress the kids. I will leave their clothes on Bryn's bed" I yell as I run up the stairs towards their room.
"Sure babe" Mon el replies with a mouth full of cheerios.
I quickly wheel out the last 2 suitcases from my bedroom and I pull them into the kids and I open them on the floor.
In the small one, I put in all of Isaac's essentials that I could need at any point in our journey.
Once that one is filled to the brim, I zip it closed and I open the second one. This one's for clothes and toys.
As I quickly pull their clothes off of the hangers one by one before folding them up in the suitcase, I place an outfit each on the bed.
For Bryn, I choose a pink fluffy jumper and a white vest to go underneath, grey leggings and a pair of pink trainers.
For Issac, I choose a blue and white striped long sleeved bodysuit, a pair of jeans with braces and his white trainers.
I also leave out his dark grey padded jacket and Bryn's dark blue raincoat just in case we go for a walk halfway through the journey or they get too cold.

-Mon el's POV-

"Bryn!" Kara calls from upstairs.
"Quickly go find Mommy in your room, she needs you," I tell Bryn as I lift her off her chair. I follow her upstairs with Isaac in my arms as we walk into their room where Kara is seated on the floor with toys thrown all around her.
"I need help deciding which toys to put in my handbag and which toys I should pack away" Kara explains as Bryn takes a seat on her lap.
While they decide which 3 toys and only 3 toys she is allowed, I get Isaac dressed.

-Kara's POV-

"Do you want your Peppa Pig teddy?" I ask Bryn as I hold it up but she shakes her so I squish it into the suitcase next to the folded clothes.
"How about your mini aqua doodle?" I ask as I hold up her mat and pen she uses to draw.
Once again she shakes her head so that also gets placed in the suitcase.
"Bryn you already have your portable horse Playmobil stable but you need 2 more so instead of Mommy pointing out everything, why don't you grab what you want" I suggest.
She stands from my lap and walks over to her heap of toys and starts rummaging. She picked up her little backpack with her 'Me and You' dolly and it's accessories and handed it over to me before looking again.
This time when she turned around she was holding her pack of Peppa pig figures and the pink paw patrol my first camera we had bought yesterday.
"Bryn you can't take both of them so choose one please," I ask her.
She looks at them each with a long hard stare before putting the Peppa pig figures in the pile again and passing me her camera.
"Good choice" I smile before placing it out the way with the other 2 toys and Isaac's spare clothes.
