Logan's eyes peered through mine.

"I'm okay," I replied blandly.

My phone vibrated and it was from Tony.

Lunch date?

I found myself grinning and replied to him that I will be ready in a couple minutes.

"I have to go," I said and head to the toilet to freshen up.

When I was done, Logan and Evan sat on the coach.

"Where are you going?" Evan asked.

"Lunch with Anthony," I said.

"Oh, okay," he said.

"Need me to bring anything back for you?" I asked.

"Some fries?" he smiled.

"Sure," I smiled in return.

Logan was silent. He set his eyes on his hand that clamp together.

I waited a second but he didn't respond so I head out the door.

Anthony was at the drop off lot waiting when I came down. A few fans were there taking pictures with him and he seems nice to them but when he saw me, he waved. All the faces of the fans snapped and looked at me.

Oh no.

"Thea," Tony smiled. "Sorry guys. This is my friend, Thea," he said to his fans. "we're going to lunch with the squad. See you guys."

Squad? I gave him a questionable look but decided not to question him in front of the fans.

When we drove around the corner and the fans were no longer following us, I saw him grinning.

"What?" I asked.

"You need to lighten up. You are terrifying the fans," he chuckled.

"I'm not use to it," I said.

"You should. Since you are Jake's sister."

"It doesn't matter," I said. "he doesn't like my anyways. I doubt he will let anyone know I exist, let alone his step-sister," I said.

"Jake likes you," he said.

"Your definition of like should be revised," I said.

He chuckled again. "He does. Trust me. I know him and I know he likes you now."

"What makes you say that?"

"You challenge him. It's refreshing for him."

"Maybe you should try. It's fun," I mumbled.

"Trust me, he is brutal and snap right back but with you, he can't."

"Why is that?"

"You spoke the truth. People make bad press about him and it doesn't affect him because they don't know him and nothing they say is true but you just stabbed him in the heart and smiled at him as you twist the knife. You said all the right things that is so wrong."

I didn't respond.

"So, you ready for lunch?" he asked when the car stopped.

"We are meeting the squad?" I asked.

"I lied. It's just don't want people to know it's a date."

"Is it?" I smiled.

"Yeah. I look it up. A date is when two people go out."

"As friends?" I asked.

"Friends or more than friends," he said.

"Let's start with friends," I smiled.

"Friends," he agreed.
