LOGAN POV

I don't even know what to think when Thea told me about her past. The long silent drive didn't help. I need to ask mom why she didn't tell us.

When Thea's small soft hand slipped off of mine, I collected myself and followed Jake to his room.

"What is up?" Jake said. "Please don't tell me you fucked her and now she is pregnant."

"Logan!" Pam looked at me with wide eyes.

"No," I said. "Screw you, Jake."

"You were holding her hand," Jake said.

"You would too after I tell you what happened," I said.

I started telling them what Thea said.

Jake's face went pale and mom looked like she was going to throw up.

"Why didn't you tell us?" I asked mom.

"I-" she catch her breathe. "I didn't know it was that bad. I know her mom was abusive but not the details."

"We thought she walked back into our lives because she wanted to claim the name of our sister and get fame," Jake said. "Damn, I feel bad."

"I have been telling you guys to be nice,' Pam said.

"Yeah but you didn't tell us why she was here," I said.

"It was not my story to tell. Plus, I thought she might like to come to a place where her past doesn't come back to haunt her."

"Too bad it does," I said.

"What do you mean?" she asked.

"She screams in her sleep," I said.

"What? I didn't hear anything," she said then she paused. "no wonder she was always awake when I wake up but tired the whole day. Why didn't I catch that?"

"I saw her scars," I said.

"They are bad," Pam nodded.

"You saw?" Jake asked her.

"I was helping her clean her wounds when her dad brought her home," she said.

"What did her mom do to her that day?" I asked.

"She won't talk about it," Pam said. "But there was a lot of blood."

"This is so messed up," Jake said and placed his head in his palm.

"I am not letting her go back to Ohio," I said. "You are going back in a week. She can stay with me."

"Or me. I have more space here until you move to your house, bro," Jake said.

"Let's ask her about it. She promised to give LA a try and if she wants to stay, let her choose what to do," mom said. "She never got to choose. Let her make her own decisions. She is so selfless that I worry she will get hurt in LA but when I saw how she handled you two," she smiled. "I am more worried for LA."

"True," Jake said. "Since she came, it has been the most interesting week. Nick even wanted to sign her to Team Ten."

"Not a chance," I said.
