Logan's face was unreadable and I couldn't find my way out of his blue eyes.
"Wait," he said. He disappeared into his room and I stood there waiting like he ordered. Lydia, Evan, and Brandan didn't look up from their screens but I knew they heard what I said. Lydia finally looked up out of curiosity and gave me a short smile before Logan walked up fully dressed in jeans and his white V-neck t-shirt. He grabbed a zip jacket on his chair and his phone.
"Brandon, go home when you're done, bro. I'll see you tomorrow. Lydia, you too."
He took my hand and led me out the house.
"Where are we going?"
"I need a long drive," he said.
We took his Yeti and drove through the dark streets with the light if the city guiding our view.
Either of us spoke. We finally stopped and I realized we were at Jake's mansion.
"Why are we here?" I asked.
"Where is your mom?" he asked.
"I don't know."
He nodded then a short silent fell between us.
"I need to talk to mine," he said.
"Glad you have yours," I said.
"I didn't mean it that way," he said.
"I know," I replied and got out the car as he did.
"Mom!" Logan called out.
"Yo," Jake walked down the spiral stairs. "what is up?"
"I need mom," Logan said.
"You pooped you pants?" Jake joked. "Hi little sister," Jake said.
"I need to talk to mom," Logan said. Jake shut immediately and noticed tension in Logan's voice.
Jake reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. "Erika, where are you?"
"In my room," Erika said.
"My mom?"
"With me," she replied.
"Bring her down," he said.
"Alright," she said before hanging up.
Pam walked down with the girls. She looked confused and hurried to my side.
"You okay?" she asked.
I nodded.
She looked down at my hands who Logan was still holding.
"What is going on?" Pam asked.
"We need to talk," Logan said. "Jake?"
"Yeah, we can talk in my room," Jake said.
"Erika, can you look after Thea?" Logan said.
"Sure, we were about to chill by the pool," she said.
"Come with us," Tessa said.
I exchange glance with Logan. He lets go of my hand and I immediately felt his absent.
