LOGAN POV

Thea's face went pale. I saw her two pools of blue eyes drowned in fear.

"Bro!" Jake Paul walked into my house. I growled and silently cursed him in my head. Thea got up immediately and created distance between us.

"Hey, Thea!" Jake waved. "Bro, you are in deep shit," he said.

"Sure," I rolled my eyes. "what do you want, Jake?"

"Jeez, I only wanted to help," Jake said.

"There is nothing you can do," I said. "I don't want you in this, you hear me, Jake? It's a mess as it is. I don't want two of us to be in this mess. Just let me handle it."

"Sure, sure," he said. "I just want you to know I'm here if you ever need me," he said and gave me a pat on the back.

"What is this?" Jake grabbed the lyrics. "Yo, this is dope," he said. "You're coming back with a song?"

"Thea's idea," I said.

"This is so cool," Jake said.

"Hey, what if we get different people in it too," Thea said. "you know, like a joined collaboration?"

"I don't know how many people would collaborate with me now," I said.

"I will," Jake said. "Team Ten is down. Write it in the books. I bet George and Mark will be down too."

"Yeah," Brandon was secretly listening to us.

"Me too," Evan waved his hand high in the air.

"So, like an Olympic song thing?" I grinned.

"Like the Olympic song thing," Thea giggled and rolled her eyes. "Jake can I borrow your studio?"

"Sure," Jake said when I said "No."

"Why not?" Jake said. "Tony has been bugging me on you. He is worried," he said to Thea. "oh, he is worried about you too," Jake said to me.

"Thea needs to go back to Ohio," I said.

"I don't," she replied.

"Why?" Jake asked.

"Nothing," she said.

"Her mom past and she needs to be there for her funeral," I said.

"I'm sorry, Thea," Jake said and pulled her into a hug.

"I don't want to go," Thea said to Jake.

"Thea," I warned.

"Bro, chill. She doesn't want to go. Let her be," Jake said.

"It's her last time to say goodbye," I said.

"I already did," she said. "Don't expect me to cry and put roses on her coffin because I can't do that."

"Why not?" I asked. "Thea, what happened?"

THEA POV

I felt my rib cage crashing into my lungs and it was hard to breathe.

"Damn it bro," Jake said. "Don't be a jerk. You can't tell her what to do."

"Let me make my own choices, Logan," I said. "Come on, Jake. I need to finish this song."

I left before Logan could say more. Everyone has demons. Sometimes you win and sometimes you wave the white flag. Other times, you let the demons dwell at the back of your mind as they recklessly play with matches. When things catch fire, you live your own hell in your mind.
