It’s already Friday and I still don’t know anything about Mai’s whereabouts, I sighed as I walked around the art exhibit. Today we’re in  St. Margarette's Art Exhibit, I came coz I think this is where Mai’s cousin is studying, but so far I havent seen him. I was about to lose hope when the school’s headmaster called everyones attention, so my classmates and I went closer to the middle, we were a little ways away from the middle, but I can see fairly well with my height and as soon as I saw her, I knew it was her.

My eyes widened, I wasn’t even looking for her today, but here she is, I can't be wrong, I slowly made my way closer, she looks fairly different with only light make up on, short hair and glasses but I quickly recognized her. I just stared at her and then with their principals command she pulled on her paintings cover and everyone was shocked, her masterpiece had been ruined. The look of shock was evident from her eyes, she didn’t move for a few moments and so I called her. I know she recognized my voice as she slowly looked at me, and as she saw me, she suddenly ran out and I quickly followed her.

Pumasok ako ng hall nung narinig kong ipapakita na daw yung painting ni Taray, kaso kakapasok ko lang, parang may nangyari ng hindi maganda, may mga nakasalubong akong mga studyanteng palabas na, teka, kakasimula lang a? Bat naglalabasan na sila?

“Oh my gosh! Sino kayang gumawa nun?”
“Nakita mo ba?” Rinig kong sinasabi ng ilan sa mga studyante. Nilapitan ko si Rick nung nakita ko siyang kasama nina Josh.
“Anong nangyari?” Tanong ko.
“Oii, kadadating mo lang?” Tanong ni Rick.
“Oo, anung nangyare?”
“Yung painting ni Mai, may sumira.” Sagot ni Josh.
“Ano?”
“Ayun o.” Turo ni Chris, I looked at the mini stage in the middle of the hall, nakita ko yung painting ni Mai or what was left of it, sira na nga, mukhang may sumabotahe. Sina Ms. Laurel at Sir Jasper naman mukhang nag-uusap na tungkol dun.
“Sinong gumawa non?”
“Hindi namin alam.” Sabe ni Josh.
“E si Taray?”
“Hindi din namin alam, biglang lumabas nung nakitang ganun yung nangyare sa painting niya."

Hearing that, I quickly took my phone and dialed her number, alam ko kung gano niya pinaghirapan yung painting niya and kahit na ganun kataray yun, alam kong masasaktan yun sa nangyari.

Music Fades Back Again

I ran out of there as fast as I could coz I know he’ll follow me, its always been like this, as if were playing cat and mouse.

I knew it! Of course he’s here.

Fate hasn’t always been on my side anyway. But I can't face him now, I just can’t. I stopped running as I reached the quadrangle, I was still panting, and my eyes are starting to hurt when someone called me.

“MAI!” I turned my head, and there he was, flesh and bones. Anong ginagawa niya dito? Pano niya ko nahanap? Bakit ngayon pa? 
“Please Mai, let’s talk.” He said slowly walking towards me.

“Mai, please?” Tom pleaded, we were already standing face to face.
“What are you doing here?”  
“I wanted to see you, I wanted to talk to you.”
“We don’t have anything to talk about Tom, we’re finished.”
“Mai, please… just… just listen to me, please.” I wanted to, I wanted to hear it from him, if what Alex said was true. I really wanted to know, but I cant, not right now, not when I’m too weak. Hindi ko kaya. Hindi ko kakayanin. 
“No! Just, just stop!” umiiyak na talaga ko ngayon. Hindi ko na kasi mapigilan.
“Mai.” Hinawakan niya yung pisngi ko, bakit ba ko umiiyak ngayon? Napigil ko siya dati so why now? He was about to hug me, but I pushed him away.
“No, please Tom. Not now!” I hiccupped, I turned and quickly ran away from him.

Hindi ko alam kung nasan na ko and kung sino-sino ba yung nakakasalubong ko, napatigil lang ako sa pagtakbo nung may nabangga ako.
“Mai.” As I recognized who it was, I hugged him and just started crying.

Hindi ko alam kung bakit, siguro dahil sa pagod? Sa frustrations ko kay Tom? I didn’t know why, it just kept on falling, no matter how hard I tried to stop them, I just cant. Bakit ganito? I was always able to stop them, to resist them. So bakit ganito? He didn’t say anything and just rubbed my back, my face buried on his chest.

I didn’t follow Mai this time as she ran away again, instead I walked back to the hall and back to my classmates, at least I know she’s also studying here. I was about to go back inside the hall when I saw Jasper, with Josh and some other students. I had always been in good terms with Jas, so I approached him.

“Jas!” I called him, he turned to me and I can tell he was shocked to see me, I smiled at him then I turned to Josh.
“Hey, you’re Josh right? Remember me?” I asked him.
“Kilala mo?” said the girl beside her.
“Ha? Ahm, ano… siya?” I didn’t understand what he was trying to say but I know she meant me.
“I’m Tom, you know Ma—"
"Tom! What are you doing here?” said Jasper as he clapped me in the back.
“Guys, I’ll see you later, okay?” he said to Josh and his classmates as he steered me away from them.

“Sino yun?” Tanong ni Bernice kay Josh nung nawala na si Jasper at Tom.
“Ha? Yon? Sino? Alin?”
“Yung foreigner, yung Tom.” Sabi ni Aya.
“Yun? Ahm… ano kasi, yun?..."
“Alam ko na! Sabi na nga ba medyo familiar siya e, diba yun yung dinedate dati ni Chanelly? Yung british heir ng Scott’s?” Sabi ni Luisa.
“Talaga? Bakit mo alam?” tanong ni Carlo.
“Stalker ka talaga ng pinsan ni Josh.”
“Hindi no, nakita ko lang siya sa OMG! Nung isang gabi.”
“E teka muna. Understandable na kilala niya si Josh, pero si Sir Jasper, bakit kilala din niya?” Tanong ni Aya. Tumingin silang lahat kay Josh.
“Aba, ewan ko. Bakit akong tinatanong niyo?”
