PEHM class and nasa classroom kami, nakikinig sa lecture ni Jasper about torniquets and other first aid materials when one of the security guards knocked on our classroom door may dala siya but from where I was sitting hindi ko makita kung ano yung dala niya. Pero yung iba naming classmate nagstart ng magbulungan.

“Ms. De los Reyes it’s for you.” Sabe ni Jasper nung kinausap niya yung security guard. Para sakin pa pala? Kanino kaya galing? I stood up to get to the door.
“OM! Sa kanya?”
“Kanino kaya galing?”
“Are they sure it’s for her?” I heard some of them whisper. Okay, now I’m curious. Ano kaya tong package na to at nagddoubt na tong mga to kung para sakin nga ba kung ano man tong package na to.
“Mai de los Reyes?” sabi nung guard, I was about to say yes, but I was surprised with what I saw. OMG! San galing to? The security guard was carrying a medium sized brown stuffed chow-chow with a purple and gold collar and a bouquet of purple and pink tulips.

“Are you sure it’s for me?” I asked him.
“Oo, Mai de los Reyes diba? 4th year under Ms. Ramirez?”
“Ahm. Opo.”
“Edi ikaw nga. Eto, may card dito. Yung nagdala dito galing sa Abbey Mount. Sige na hija. Pakipirma na lang dito.” Abbey Mount. Of course its from him. I signed the paper and there it was on the envelope. TOM SCOTT.

“Thank you po.” Sabi ko dun sa security guard tapos tinago ko na sa bulsa ko yung card.
“OMG! Who’s it from?”
“Kanya ba talaga yun? There must be a mistake.”
“Eew. Don’t tell me may secret admirer siya or something.”
“Girls. Settle down. Mai, get back to your seat please. We still have time for a pop quiz.” Sabe ni Jasper and syempre everybody groaned. Ako naman binasa ko yung card habang yung iba busy pagrreview.

Well… You always said you wanted a puppy, and I promised you we’d get one. But unfortunately your dad didn’t  want one and I already have way too many pets that my parents didn’t allow me as well so I decided to just give you this. You remember the name we picked? Well, if you decided to forget, it’s Thally. You know from Thomas and Chanelly, we even used the name masher to come up wth it. I really hope you’ll take it :)

“WOW! Ang cute talaga nito!” sabi ni Nat, while holding the stuff toy. Tapos ng klase namin kaya sabay sabay kami ngayon pauwi, well not really pauwi, palabas lang ng school since may iba’t-iba kaming pupuntahan.
“Nacucutan ka na jan? Ang pangit kaya.” Sabi ni Gino, ewan kung bakit hanggang ngayon kabuntot parin namin tong mokong na to kahit na kaninang kanina pa niya ko pinepeste.
“Pwede ba, wag kang bitter.” I rolled my eyes at him snatching it away from him, baka topakin pa to, maisipan pang itapon.
“Kay Tom Scott galing diba.” Sabi naman ni Aria. Yep I told them where its from, no use trying to lie, since I know Tom, there's more of these things coming and kesa magbluff ako ng magbluff I told them the truth.

“Tom Scott? Di ba yun yung kahapon?” Sabi ni Jacob.
“Oo nga. Yung ex nung pinsan ni Josh?” Sabi ni Nat.
“Bakit ka naman bibigyan ng flowers and stuff toy nun?!” sabi ni Gino.
“Uhm… he…” shit! Anong sasabihin ko? I haven’t thought about this part yet.
“He liked your painting, right? Baka, its to show his appreciation?” Sabi ni Nick.
“Maybe, but Mai. This stuff toy is just so cute! I envy you!” Said Nat. 
“And this flowers are really pretty!” Sabi ni Aria.
“Ahm, yeah.” I mumbled.
“Tss. Baka naman umasa ka sa Tom na yon. Porket binigyan ka niyang mga ganyan feeling mo may gusto na agad yun sayo.” I turned to Gino.
“Wag kang mag-alala Yabang, alam kong ginagawa ko and pwede ba, nakakabwisit ka na ha, bakit ba kanina ka pang sunod ng sunod. Wala ka namang ginagawang matino kundi mangbwisit!”
“Hoy Taray! Don’t flatter yourself, hindi kita sinusundan no, Si… Si Rick yung pinupuntahan ko. Kasalanan ko bang lagi niyo siyang kasama! Feeling ka ha.”
“Feeling pala ha. Ewan ko sayo. Guys! Una na ko. Byee!” and with one final glare at Gino umana na ko sa kanila. Subukan lang niya kong sundan. Sasampigahin ko siya, promise!
