Hiro hid under his bed, the shadow walking around his room.
His left eyes began to glow again and he covered it. He didn't want to draw attention to himself.
Where was Kaname? His mother or father?
Why weren't they feeling what he felt?
The bad feeling the shadow gave off in waves.
His heart was in his stomach, his fear taking over.
The shadow walked to the bed, shrieking.
He closed his eyes, coveeing his ears.
The bed dipped as if the shadow was a solid being.
When it hopped off, he realized it wasn't just a shadow.
It had claws for feet, and his eyes went wide.
It walked towards the mirror, stoping in front of it.
It cried out again, smashing the mirror to pieces and slamming open the door.
It walked through the halls, taking a left.
He froze.
Yuki's room.
He rolled from under the bed, running over the glass and slamming into the wall.
The creature stood in from of her door, sniffed, and moved on.
He swallowed thickly...
And followed behind it.
It went upstairs, where the windows were.
He made no noise as he got up the stairs, following it the living room.
He gasped when he saw it in the moonlight, eyes wide.
It's skin stuck to the bones like glue, claws and fangs protruding. It had few hair strands, and the spine was in clear view. It was sickly, having pale skin and wide feet.
It turned around and he hid behind the wall, hoping it didn't see him.
He peeked again, but it was gone.
He walked into the living room, confused.
He froze, looking up.
It stared back at him, into his eyes.
He was lost again.
"Hiro!"
Kaname ran towards him, grabbing his shoulders and shaking him.
But he wouldn't respond.
Kaname followed his gaze, furrowing his eyebrows when he saw it.
"Wake up, Hiro!"

He was lost somehwere again.
"...hello?"
It was an empty space, water beneath him. It was a misty blue, his reflection being his only companion.
Something clicked from behind him, and he turned to see a hooded figure standing in the distance.
"...c...Can you help me?"
He walked towards it, ripples shaking the water.
"Please...I-I think I'm lost."
It was his first time speaking to someone outside his family.
He stopped before them, swallowing.
