A:N: ...Heyyyy😬 So, don't hate me, guys. 😮‍💨I've been waiting on this chapter for months and let me tell you, your reactions were so fun to read! I saw them all, and I want you to know I was also thinking the same things.

Thank you for being patient. Let's say the world got busy with the recent things going on. I hope you're all okay, or you aren't exhausted from the daily mishaps.

I'm passing along 3 new chapters.

I've been sitting on these babies for months.

MONTHS!

And...I feel a little guilty for leaving y'all hanging.

So, warning. There's manga spoilers ahead from now on. It goes beyond the anime, and goes back to Zero's past.

SPOILERS AHEAD!

Have fun😊...or not. I mean, the MC is dead , so-

Zero braces for dust, he waits for the moment Hiro is no longer illuminated by the moon, and hopes he can at least burn the memory of that smile into his mind.

Regret can be a killing factor for those who let their chance slip by or destroy it themselves.

And Zero's hopes are shattered in this chilling conclusion of Hiro's life.

They would never speak again, never gaze up at the sky nor would they share any memories.

A door closed and it won't open again.

Zero would never forget the agonizing pain on Hiro's face.

And now, here he was.

Gone.

Time slowed as he stared at the corpse.

Kaname bursts in before he can even shed a tear, the door breaking off and the windows cracking and breaking around the floor.

He looks up, and they glare at one another before Kaname looks at Hiro.

"...Get out."

They say it at the same time, ironically, and await the other to follow orders.

Neither one of them move, but there is so much anger in the room. You could see the rage fueling the red behind their eyes, glowing with sheer hatred for one another.

Almost as if they were blaming each other.

Kaname, for not protecting Hiro and having this happen.

And Zero, for not fulfilling the role Kaname had coined from the moment he set Shizuka free all those years ago.

One was supposed to be a protector, and the other an assassin. Those were their roles.
