He'd read novels about love blossoming under the moon.
He was surprised his uncle even had romance novels in his castle. But well, he didn't put anything past that bastard anymore. He had found out the old man liked to read as well, even write.
It was pretty romantic, he wouldn't lie. To be held beneath the stars and the moon, almost as if they were jeering you and your beloved one on.
Nothing was romantic about this, though.
Zero threw another rock at him. He barely dodged it, sending a harsh glare at the hunter.
"I didn't do anything!" He yelled, avoiding another stone.
"So, why are you running..?" Zero asked, his voice low and angry.
"Because you're throwing rocks!" Hiro yelled back.
He had smelled a human close to the Moon Dorms.
It was a boy, strangely enough. He wasn't alone, accompanied by three more guys. They had climbed over the wall and got surprisingly far.
He was the first to smell them. He didn't hesitate in going to get them, finding them in a tree. It would be easier to deal with them quickly and send them back.
But the bag they carried smelled of powder and ash. After calling them out, he was attacked by a wave of firecrackers.
...and found out their ingenious plan was to prank the Night Class students. They said something about the white uniformed students stealing their thunder.
They would be dead before they even started if they had gone through with it.
He had knocked them each out (with a hit on the head, careful not to give them a concussion), only to be found by Zero...
Who thought he was attacking the students, instead of the other way around.
"I told you! I'm innocent!" He climbed over the wall, huffing and stomping his foot, not meaning to look childish.
He slipped, his eyes growing wide as he began to fall.
What a shitshow this was becoming...
Zero glared at him, arms extending as he caught the rogue mini-Kuran. Hiro stared up at him, eyes huge. He smiled, a relieved sigh leaving him.
"...please don't kill me." He mumbled, before looking to his hand with wide, surprised eyes.
It was covered red.
A clean cut slice sat on his skin, dripping from his palm. Hiro looked up, the spiked metal atop the gate staring back at him.
He grimaced, quickly masking the scent and sighing.
But his hand was grabbed and he was pushed into the gate.
Zero stared back with red eyes, lavender disappearing beneath the hunger.
He could smell the blood beneath the skin.
He was leaning down before he knew it, his mouth opening.
His lavender eyes returned as he stopped himself, gritting his teeth. He put Hiro down quickly, glaring at him.
But Hiro had already saw.
He furrowed his eyebrows, looking Zero over.
