Railroads kind of stretch on forever, don't they?

There was no backwards and forwards.

Just the road.

Hiro walked on it, shoes stepping on the gravel.

They crunched with each step, and Hiro couldn't help but feel the vibrations of the train.

He looked behind him, then in front.

He didn't know which way it was coming from.

With a quiet sigh, Hiro looked up at the night sky. It was cloudy, like rain would fall anytime soon.

He didn't know where he was going.

The outside world...it was so vast.

Here were no walls, no ceiling, no wooden floor.

He reached down to the floor, picking up a rock. He held it in his hands, smiling softly as the train made it's way down the railroad.

Hiro watched, gasping at the length of the machine. It was big, blowing a horn as it traveled.

It passed Hiro in a steam of speed, leaving him just as quickly as it came.

He watched it fade into the trees, and he smiled.

He started walking, deciding to follow after it.

__________

He smiled when he realized he had reached civilization.

He had walked for about a day.

People walked about, gathering quick things before the night came in. Voices were heard around him, humans chattering about daily lives and others things.

He had never been around so much people.

He smiled, passing people by and staring at them.

He skipped along the streets, hands in his pockets.

The world was beautiful.

"Young lord."

He turned around, blinking in surprise.

It was two Vampires, wearing fancy suits. They bowed slightly.

"Are you lost, young lord?" They asked.

Hiro quickly shook his head.

He had forgotten, Purebloods were regarded with power.

All he wanted to do was explore the town.

"No, I'm quite alright."

The two Vampires seemed unconvinced.

"May we direct you to your manor?" They asked.

"No thank you." He said, quickly, turning to leave.

But the two Vampires stayed on his trail, following from afar.

Frowning, Hiro stopped walking.

He quickly turned a corner.

The two Vampires followed, surprised when they found no one.

Hiro watched them form the rooftop, sighing softly. He hid his presence, leaving them to their own devices.

They finally left.

"What's their deal?" He mumbled.
