Snow had begun to fall.

It was a bit too early for it, but the students were excited about it. White snow clung to the trees and grass, covering the earth in a soft sheet of ice.

Something was supposed to be magical about the snow.

It fell from the sky, idiosyncratic designs crystalized and never the same as the other.

And watching the snow fall on the window, creating ice on the edges of the glass, should've been exciting.

But seeing it after so long...

It only brought terrible memories.

He was stolen away in the snow. His parents died in the snow, blood dripping on the white.

Yuki forgot everything in the snow.

He couldn't stop the throbbing in his chest. He was still sore, probably. Even with a fast healing factor, he was unable to push away the pain in his heart.

He was sure it would linger there forever.

A book fell from the shelf.

Hiro narrowed his eyebrows, sensing a dangerous presence.

...he wasn't alone.

He stepped towards the bookshelf, picking up the novel with a cautious glance around the room.

He put the book back, eyes scanning the title.

It was a book about taming wild animals. It had helped him learn to get close to the rabbits.

"Hello, my cute nephew."

He turned around, gasping as he slammed into the bookshelf.

A shelf of books fell, hitting the floor like bricks.

Hiro looked up, a shiver running down his spine.

He stared into those dark eyes that mirrored his own, but they were much darker and filled with evil.

But that's not what terrified him.

"...Senri?" He asked with a trembling voice.

Senri stood before Hiro, but his eyes matched his own blue and red orbs. His smile was not gentle like Senri's, and his eyes were empty and malicious.

In an instant, Senri got closer, smiling as if he were satisfied with Hiro's reaction, like he was proud to be feared.

What else did Hiro expect?

He reached for Senri's body, only to be met with harsh, cold skin that burned.

"Nothing would keep me from seeing you, Hiro." Rido chuckled, moving back. "My own little rabbit."

He walked around the room, taking in the decor. He smirked at the amount of books scattered about, but the rest of the room was tidy and neat.

"You take after Haruka." Rido said, taking a seat in his chair.

Hiro walked over to him, glaring daggers at his uncle. He stepped forward, hands clenched as if he were ready for battle. "I'm not letting you take over Senri's body."

Rido smirked wider with Senri's face. "This body?" He placed a finger to his chin. "Don't you recognize the face of your own cousin, Hiro?"

Hiro couldn't move.

Rido only laughed, eyes crinkling. He ran a hand through Senri's hair, his fangs sharp and his smile wide.

The revelation was jarring, to say the very least.
