"No." Zero says firmly.
"It's our only option at this point." Kaname recites, tired of saying it over and over.
Zero knew he was right. Every lead ended in flames, no pun intended, and it was only a matter of time before Hiro woke up and would possibly start trouble.
"...we should talk with Takuma and Rima, as well as Senri. They should know as well."
"They'll probably object, just as I am." Zero informs him.
"You are correct." Kaname then grows more serious. "But I am the only one with a say in the matter, being his guardian."
Zero glares at him.
"Bastard."
Kaname sighs, stepping towards the silver haired teen. "I don't mean to sound cruel, but Hiro would have agreed."
"I know!" Zero yells, shoving his hands in his pocket as he walks away. He sighs as well, leaning against the wall of his apartment.
Hiro wouldn't hesitate if it mean the could save his family from the curse, even if it meant he would die.
That's what bothered him the most.
How inevitable it seemed.
"If it works, Hiro will be saved." Kaname explains.
"And if it doesn't, the curse might stop, too." Zero stayed, hating how sufficient both sides of the toss were. Kuran won either way, even if Hiro did die
It wasn't fair. If he could stack all of the crap in his life, this would be the icing on top.
"...we will discuss it with those closest to him, but my decision has already been made. Have you come to terms with it?"
Fuck that Kuran bastard.
He doesn't answer, and instead looks at Kaname.
"How the hell are you so calm?" He asks dryly, too hardened and annoyed to keep the question to himself.
Kaname gives him a humorless smile. Zero can see the distress on his face for less than a second, before his stoicism returned.
"I promise you, Kiryuu...I am anything but."

Sara Shirabuki was beautiful.
She was a cage, and many would willingly walk into her arms.
"I'm sorry Sara-sama, but Kaname isn't accepting visitors at the moment." Takuma informed her with a kind smile.
She didn't like that answer. But she wasn't expecting to be let inside.
"Oh my, and I travelled all the way here. I was actually looking for Hiro Kuran."
Takuma didn't let it show, but he frowned inwardly. He knew Sara Shirabuki, and wasn't impressed by her audacious act. But he couldn't be blatantly rude, nor would he be so mean because it wasn't his nature.
