"It's you!" Takuma yelled, pointing.
Hiro sat in the corner of the bookstore, a pile of books beside him. He blinked, looking up at the trio.
Senri lowered his hand. "It's rude to point, Takuma."
"Oops! Sorry!" He said, scratching his head. "We were worried about you..." Takuma said, realizing he was wearing the same clothes as before.
Just who was this kid?
His presence wasn't that of a regular Vampire, an aristocrat maybe, but something else.
"Are all of those your books?" Rima asked, walking over to the pile. She kneeled down, reading the titles on the sides.
"How're you gonna finish those?" Senri asked, taking a seat beside him.
"I've already finished them. This is the last one." Hiro said nonchalantly, flipping the page as he continued to read.
The two of them stared at him.
"You like books, too?" Takuma asked softly. "Do you by chance read any manga?"
Hiro looked up, an eyebrow raised. He tilted his head slighty. "Manga..?"
Takuma clenched his heart, tears streaming from his eyes.
He moved forward, immediately patting Hiro's head. "Worry not. I will introduce you to the world of manga and anime!"
With that said, Takuma raced to the manga section.
Hiro blinked, turning to Senri with a nervous laugh. "I'm guessing he's always like that..?"
Rima and Senri both nodded.
"I've never seen a Vampire so happy." Hiro smiled, looking back to his book.
"You should see him on Valentine's Day." Rima said, taking a seat on top of the pile. "So, where are you from?"
Hiro closed the book, a satisfied smile on his face. "Why do you ask?"
"Just...trying to make conversation." Senri answered, pulling candy from his pocket.
Hiro stared, watching as he began to chew.
Hiro blinked. "What is that..?"
Senri raised an eyebrow. "Candy. Want some?"
Hiro slowly nodded.
He was a bit skeptic, but his curiosity was getting the better of him. Senri helped to extend his hand, popping a few colored balls into his hand.
Hiro blinked, looking to Senri.
Senri quickly began to chew on them.
Hiro followed his actions, and poured it into his mouth, feeling his cheeks tingle and sizzle at the sourness.
"WOW!" He said, gripping both his cheeks.
Rima couldn't help but smile.
Senri chuckled. "How does it taste?"
Hiro nodded. "It's so sweet! I didn't know candy was like that! Is all human food like that?" He wiped some drool from his mouth.
"Want some more?" Senri asked as Hiro nodded eagerly.
"Haven't your parents ever brought you candy?" Rima asked.
Hiro popped more in his mouth. "I've never really had human food. Only blood." He admitted with a smile, enjoying the taste of candy.
Rima furrowed her eyebrows slightly. "That's terrible..."
Senri stood up, dusting off his pants. "Let's go."
