Yuki readjusted the white banner on her arm, leaping down from the tree.

Her disciplinary duties were almost over.

She rushed out of the Sun Dorms, her smile reflecting the determination flaring within in her stomach.

She made it to the Moon Dorms, the wind blowing through her brown hair. She smiled, the moonlight guiding her path.

It looked safe enough. No one was out, everyone in their perspective places.

All she had to now was find that slacker-

She was surprised to find him standing outside the Moon dorms gate. His silver hair seemed to glow, almost. His lavender eyes landed on hers, and they stared at one another for a bit.

She tilted her head, confused before seeing a leg crawl over the side of the gate.

Hiro jumped down from the other side, dusting off his uniform and looking to the two of them. Zero immediately went to help him, making sure he didn't fall. There was a quiet greeting between them, before Hiro noticed her.

"...hello." He said softly, breaking the silence.

She blinked, mumbling a greeting before gasping. "You can't keep sneaking out, Hiro-senpai!" She said, eyebrows furrowed as a big watermark sat on her head.

Hiro scratched the back of his head, giving a small, nervous laugh.

He had just snuck away from Kaname, who refused to leave Hiro alone for a second.

Zero looked to Hiro with an annoyed look. "I was just about to drag him back."

Hiro gave him a blank look, before sticking his tongue out. In return, Zero gave him a deadly glare.

They stared at one another, static flying.

Zero knew his twin was out to kill. Hiro would be safe being surrounded by the other Vampires. Not that he doubted Hiro's power, but he also didn't doubt Ichiru's strength. He'd rather they never fight at all.

So he waited here, ready to send Hiro back to his dorm room.

Looks like he was right to do so, because here he was, his white uniform a bit dirty.

"Why did you sneak out?" Yuki asked, both hands on her hips.

"I like to watch the sun rise." Hiro told her with a bright smile.

She blinked in surprise, unable to help the blush that rose to her face as well. "Really? But, doesn't the sun hurt?" She asked, curious.

"...He's immune to the sunlight." Zero told her.

She stared in shock, looking to the younger Kuran. She's never head of that before...

Vampires can't stand the sun. They even sleep during the daylight hours.

"...can I watch it with you?" She asked.

It was Hiro's turn to be surprised. But he smiled kindly and nodded. "Sure."

Dawn was starting, the dark night getting lighter as pinks and purples melted into the stars.

Yuki smiled, following Hiro and Zero through the long staircase. They bickered like old friends, Zero grumbling about Hiro being an idiot and Hiro mumbling about Zero being mean.

She laughed, covering her mouth and trying to hide her amusement.

But then something strange happened.

She took another step, only to feel something wet beneath her shoe. She looked down, maroon eyes growing wide.

The staircase was coated in blood, dripping down the walls and filling the room with a rusted smell.

She covered her nose, shutting her eyes tight.

"Yuki..."

She looked up, ice blue and blood red eyes staring at her.

She was afraid.

It was strange though. She doesn't know why, but this person...

But she was afraid. Something was wrong, something bad was happening. And her eyes finally closed, feeling blood on her clothes that belonged to someone else that she would forever miss.

Something was wrong.

She could feel it.

"Yuki?"

She pushed someone away, a gasp escaping her.

She was falling backwards, down the stairs.

But the person grabbed her, pulling her close. She tried to pry the hands off, eyes wide in desperation. And yet, the person never let her go.

She trembled in fear, afraid to look up.

"...Yuki?"

She felt a hand on her head, feeling her temperature being set down. Forced to take a seat in the staircase, she finally looked up at the person calling her name.

Those same eyes...but kinder, more soft. They weren't hungry. They were worried and...bright.

Zero was beside him, both of them looking her over, faces full of concern.

"Are you okay?" Hiro asked, slowly letting her go.

She took a deep breath, blinking a few times. There was a throbbing headache growing. With a slight groan, she looked to Hiro, trying to smile.

"I'm fine..." she said quietly.

Hiro frowned, seemingly unsatisfied with her answer. "You aren't." He told her. "What happened?"

She looked at Hiro, eyebrows furrowing. She paused, taking a a second to ready herself.

"...You weren't there when Kaname rescued me, were you..?"

She had been holding onto that question since the party. But never had the chance to.

For less than a second, he went still, eyes widening. But his face changed quickly, and he gave a sorry smile.

"I'm sorry. I don't ever remember meeting you until I came here." He told her.

She nodded, placing a fiat on her head as if she were scolding herself. "I guess I must've...just imagined it."

"Imagined what?" Zero asked.

Yuki shook her head. "It must've been a day dream!" She quickly stood up. "I'm going to check the school grounds again." She began to skip down the stairs. "Maybe next time we can watch the sun rise, Hiro." She said, eyebrows furrowed as she faked a bright smile.

Hiro frowned, looking to Zero. They gave each other a slight nod.

"I'm gonna go check on her." Zero said, turning to Hiro. "Will you be alright, going back on your own?"

Hiro nodded. "Make sure she gets some sleep."

Zero smiled, nodding before heading down the stairs.

When he felt their presence disappear, he grimaced, folding his arms.

"...Yuki."
