A/N: I know it's a girl voice. Leave me alone.
"What's with the new Vampire?"
Kaien Cross looked up from his cup of tea. Zero stood before him with an irritated expression.
A usual thing, nowadays.
Zero seemed more on edge now that Yuki knew he was a Vampire. His movements became sharper, and yet at the same time, he was still slacking in the areas he needed to fix: like protecting Yuki, staying awake in class, resisting temptation...
He kept Yuki at a distance, making sure he couldn't harm her whenever he had the urge to drink her blood.
And yet, he was pulling her close enough so he didn't lose his mind and quenched his thirst.
Well, he should've known Zero wouldn't be too happy with another Vampire joining the scene, adding to his terrible attitude.
Especially a Pureblood.
"Worry not, Zero. He's a rather well behaved student. So you don't have to worry-"
"He arrived here covered in blood. And there are rumors spreading about a rogue Vampire attacking Hunters. Who else could they be talking about?" Zero folded his arms.
Cross sighed. "I've already set up a meeting to speak with them. Apparently, Kaname said the Hunter had attacked Hiro first-"
Zero slammed his hands down on the table. "He killed someone. And you let him in here?"
Cross silently placed his cup down. He folded his hands together and looked up at the silver haired gunner.
"He is now a student. And he is protected by the school."
Zero scoffed, turning around and walking towards the door. He should've known better than to talk to Cross about it. He was more concerned with the Vampires than anyone else.
Zero paused in the doorway, not looking back.
"The more monsters you let into this school, the more dangerous this place becomes." He said, slamming the door shut behind him.

The night air was cool, pushing past him and cooling him off.
The Night Class has transitioned back to their dorms, and he had another while before classes started. He'd need to get some sleep.
...it was strange a Pureblood just appeared out of thin air. There weren't many left, yet here comes another one.
They made him uncomfortable.
And his neck started to itch...
A shuffle in the bushes stopped his train of thought.
He paused, slowly turning around and walking toward the sound.
There was a slight humming sound, as if someone were mimicking a tune.
It was...soft.
Gentle.
Memorizing, like it were straight out of a movie. It echoed within the wind, giving a silent, peaceful ring to the night.
It was almost putting him in a trance, his vision growing blurry.
He followed the tune.
It sounded...familiar.
Something he had heard when he and Ichiru were children.
Zero paused, listening to the song.
Lyrics would slip through here and there, but the humming was constant. It wasn't a completely perfect voice, too light and high.
It was like a whisper in the night.
He froze when he pushed the bushes back.
He grimaced.
Hiro lay within the bush, his hand on a white rabbit. It sat on top of his stomach, chewing and seemingly unaware of the danger the Pureblood posed.
He was petting the animal, a warm smile on his face. There were more rabbits, few were black and another brown, that huddled around him as he handed them grains of oats.
Green leaves poked out of his hair, and if Zero narrowed his eyes a little more, he recognized them as the food they served in the cafeteria to make oatmeal.
...did he sneak in and steal-?!
Hiro was feeding it to them, another rabbit appearing.
He seemed to be enjoying himself. He was unaffected by Zero's interruption, sparing him a glance.
Zero frowned deeply. "You're not supposed to be here."
Hiro sighed, slowly turning around and looking up at Zero. The rabbits disappeared, scampering away.
Hiro looked back to them, wondering where they went. He furrowed his eyebrows slightly as his arm was grabbed, a "woah" leaving him.
Zero lifted him to his feet, glaring daggers at the shorter boy. "Why aren't you in your dorm?"
Hiro pulled his arm back, staring back at the silver haired boy. He paused, blinking slowly.
"Your hair..." Hiro raised both eyebrows.
The silver shined in the moonlight.
"Go back to your dorm." Zero ordered.
Confused by Zero's rising anger, Hiro grimaced. He remembered him from the other day, the one who seemed really close to Yuki.
He wanted to ask how she was. But...that would be suspicious, wouldn't it? Especially when this guy obviously did not like him.
He could easily tell the guy to buzz off, but he was in the wrong here, and sneaking out is against the rules.
He gave a defeated sigh.
"I'm sorry." He said with a slight bow, turning to leave.
Zero stared at the back of his head, shocked by his apology and his behavior.
...what the hell? Since when were those mosquitos so well behaved?
Zero glared daggers at him, lavender eyes unmoving.
This whole scene was strange.
...weird Vampire.
