"You're to live your days as the beast you are.
You will crave nothing but chaos and destruction.
The only satisfaction you will ever taste is the ashes of the ones you love.
You will die alone, surrounded by your monstrosities and sins."
She reached into her blue eyes, pulling out the orb and crushing it within her hand. Her right eye began to bleed, but there was something in her heart that was hurting more.
"Your offspring will be tainted with the blood you have spilled and the sins you have committed.
They will inherit your crimes against me, as they will inherit this curse.
Shadows shall chase them to the end of the earth.
You have doomed them.
Just as you have doomed yourself."
Those words made his eyes into rivers, tears falling as he tried to see.
The woman before him shared his tears, both of them feeling the agony of one another.
He wasn't...himself.
His hands were much larger, covered in blood and dirt. The puddle of blood beneath him was thick and murky. He was bleeding out too much, and he could see his own reflection in the deep red.
...who was this man?
They shared similar features, but they were not the same.
His right eye began to spin, and a sob wracked his body as he feel a burning chill in his eye. It began to bleed, adding to the blood beneath him, and it glowed blue.
He called her name.
"...Gin."
She said his.
And then she was gone.
He was crying when he woke up.
His right eye ached, as if the phantom pains of his dreams were still there.
"I'm sorry..." he whispered.
He felt like he had done something terrible. Something irreversibly cruel and heartless. It was as if he betrayed someone, someone important.
Guilt lingered within him, but it wasn't his.
It wasn't his crime to bear.
But he felt as if he hand done it himself with his own two hands.
His blue eye burned, like it were on fire. He shut it tight, shocked to see blood leaking from it.
He quickly got up, rushing to the bathroom to wash it away. He locked the door behind him, running the water and washing his face.
It was cold, but he needed to be awake.
He stared at the sink, watching it all drain away.
He sighed in relief, sitting on the tub as water dropped from his face.
A shiver escaped him, and he wiped his face on the towel. Sunlight landed on his hand, and he looked up, realizing the sun was beginning to set.
...He felt like he had just murdered someone.
"Gin." He whispered her name, only to be met with silence.
But it felt like she were right there, watching him with hateful and angry eyes.
He lifted himself off the bed edge the tub and changed his clothes, dusting off his white uniform.
He barely gave himself a glance in the mirror, his long hair becoming a nuisance. He took hold of a few curls, smiling at the way they reminded him of his mother.
He met with Rima in the hallway, who was more was focused on something else inside Senri's room.
He followed her gaze, raising an eyebrow.
"Senri's gone?" Hiro asked, staring at the empty bed.
He looked to Takuma, who nodded softly. He seemed to leaving, draping a coat over his shoulders and buttoning it.
"And you, too?" Hiro asked, eyebrows furrowing.
Takuma paused, guilt running across his face as he sweat-dropped. He didn't like the look Hiro was giving him, eyes wide and sad with a hint of absolute sorrow.
"I-I'll be back soon!" Takuma promised, eyes watering as he hugged Hiro.
Rima sat on Senri's bed, sighing at their antics with a bored expression. "He left to visit his mother." She told Hiro.
"You know..." Takuma said thoughtfully. "My grandfather has sent a car for me though, he wants to see me right away." Takuma pauses with a terrible frown. "I can't possibly think of what for, though..."
He looked to Hiro, who still clung to him like a child to a doll. Takuma gave a soft smile, petting his hair.
"I'll be back. I'm sure he probably just wants to discuss something trivial." Takuma said, hugging him back.
Hiro gave a slow nod, still unhappy. He was like a kicked dog, and Takuma was helpless to resist.
"Rima! Help!" He said, looking to his friend. He grimaced, watching as she went to sleep, a bubble on her nose.
Hiro let go, to his surprise, and smiled. "Don't take too long." He said.
Takuma smiled, nodding. "I won't."
__________
Takuma stared wide eyed at Senri, unable to tear his eyes away.
His dear friend never felt so...so sinister. It was almost scary, if not outright horrifying.
But Senri smiled, one eye fully crimson red and the other the color of ice. His aura was malicious, darkness spreading from him.
They were driving back to the school, and Takuma couldn't stifle the feeling of animosity and complete dread that crawled around his stomach and only grew with each second.
His grandfather had made his orders and plans clear, and Takuma had become strung within it. But to be fair, he had probably been strung along for far too long now.
"If you keep staring, I'll have to do something about those eyes of yours." Rido said, using Senri's voice.
He was holding onto the casket that carried his true self, no doubt planning to hide it somewhere safe.
Soon, he would be at Cross Academy, where his favorite nephew was.
