"Hiro-sama, good afternoon."

"Hiro-sama."

"Hiro-sama, you look well."

"Hiro-sama has arrived."

"May I be of service to you?"

They don't know his last name.

He wishes they never do.

He hadn't heard it in so long, yet it lingers within the back of his mind, reminding him of who he was.

And all he'd lost.

...and what he had now.

He would nod and respond respectfully, like a Pureblood should, almost mimicking Kaname. He wasn't very happy with the way they were treating him, never getting too close but making sure they've been acknowledged and seen.

He wasn't going to make many friends this way.

Senri, Rima and Takuma were the only ones who strode up to him without any discomfort or fear, speaking to him normally, albeit a little different when in public.

He sat on the branch of a tall tree, looking out at the sea of green surrounding the school. It was nice and quiet with a fresh breeze and calming sounds.

He liked the outside, he realized.

The smell of the trees and grass, the sounds of crickets and the feel of the wind. The outside world smelled like freedom, as he would never tire of the taste.

He wanted to enjoy it as much as he could.

"Vampire."

He looked down, silver hair moving in the wind, showing a hateful frown on his face.

Hiro hopped down from the tree.

He didn't know why this person didn't like him. It was blatantly obvious from the way he glared at Hiro as if he'd killed the man's family.

... wait-

"You're not supposed to be out here, bastard."

His gun was in his hand, pointed at the floor.

His voice was calm, but cold. His eyes were dark and there was no light within the lavender.

And Hiro still didn't know his name.

"Why aren't you affected by the sunlight..?" Zero asked, his frown deepening.

"Zero!"

Hiro froze, looking past the silver haired hunter.

Yuki ran towards them, her right arm up as she waved. She stopped beside Zero, bending over and holding her knees as she caught her breath.

Zero watched with her with blank stare, his resentment gone without a trace. "You ran all the way here..?" He asked.

She instantly hit his back. Hard.

"Stop threatening the Night Class students!" She scolded, her finger in the air.

Hiro blinked in surprise, a bead of sweat on his cheek.

She had gotten a lot taller. She was almost the same height as he was.

She looked...so different, but the same.

Yuki looked over to him, giving a warm smile. "Sorry about him, he's not friendly." She told Hiro.

He paused, slowly nodding. "I see..."

"But, he's right! Night Class students aren't supposed to be out here, senpai."

She was happy and jovial, and her eyes were lighter, as if she were a ray of sun herself. A little too chipper, but it was refreshing.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to break any rules." Hiro told her with a smile.

"That's okay! We can escort you back." She looked to Zero, who glared at Hiro.

So he followed them towards the Moon Dorms.
It was funny, watching the two go back and forth with one another.

Hiro even snickered a bit. When they looked back to see him laugh, he quickly averted his eyes, pretending to be deep in thought.

It was obvious she was doing alright. He was glad to see that.

"Here we are." She said.

"Thank you for bringing me back."

She bid him farewell and he watched as the two of them walked off, Yuki scolding Zero, as Zero ignored her with a smile.

He spared one last glance at Hiro, and they shared eye contact for a split second, before Hiro turned around.

So his name was Zero..?

He was a grumpy fellow, a stark contrast to Yuki, who was bright and bubbly.

And he was a Vampire, a student in the Day Class. His sleeping schedule must be horrendous, considering Vampires sleep in the day. He must have a rough time staying awake in class.

And they both stay awake at night to patrol the campus. Yuki must be tired in class.

...her grades must be suffering, Hiro thought with a sigh.

Then again, Hiro isn't one to really talk. His sleep schedule is terrible, considering he barely sleeps.

He wondered is Zero was the same.
