Peaches, lollipops, and barbershop poles
Over saturated sweetness and swirls
Digging into my head and letting the memories unfurl
If you'd let me I'd follow you to the end of the world my girlReady for your hands to take hold of me
Like a ripe peach waiting on a tree
Picked and nestled in your basket I'm hoping to be
But maybe I won't pass inspection being oh so bruised and dirtyDon't get it twisted like the candy on the stick
I don't want what we once had, it makes me sick
I want to love the new you, honest, no trick
Introduce you to the new me and maybe this time we'll clickNever ceasing to spin my head
Like the pole that's white, blue, and red
I think I'll love you until I'm gone & dead
Still there's so much more for you I left unsaidYou're peachy, you're sweet, you make my heart whirl
But you cut me too short and didn't wait for new curls
Now I'm sucking on sweets and thinking of you girl
Upsetting my stomach and making me hurl
I'll try to move on, keep it in my gut
Try to figure my way out this rut
Maybe grow up and stop eating that stuff
Maybe grow up and get my hair cut
I think I'll grow up and figure out how to forget you
Somewhat
