XXIII: Deception

Lucas was very busy with his paperwork. As the president of so many clubs, he had to do a lot of duties. I felt useless the whole time for just being by his side so I asked him what can I do to help him. He gave me a sigh,

"You could show me your beautiful smile so that I can be motivated."

I raise an eyebrow but I got reminded that he's working hard all day, so I gave him the most beautiful smile I could ever give.

He grinned upon seeing me smiling.

"That's all I needed," he said to me before continuing his work.

"Lucas huwag kang magpapatalo sa final exam ha? Galingan mo." paalala ko sa kanya.

"Oo naman. Ikaw rin, kung wala kang masagot isipin mo nalang ako o tumingin ka sa'kin malay mo, ako pala ang sagot sa tanong mo."

I turned red upon hearing what he said.

"As if magiging question ka sa test!"

Lucas just laughed at me and continued working.

The day of our final exam came. I was able to answer some questions with ease because I managed to review those and the rest, I was freaking out in my mind because I'm confused in what I'll answer.

Lumingon ako kay Lucas, I hate to admit it but I did. Upon looking at him I realized, I was just a lazy student before I depend on my powers to create my projects and I wasn't that studious either, even if the teacher announces that we will have a quiz on the following day still, I don't review and getting zero is no big deal to me. he is the reason why I became a better person. After being reminded of that, the confusion on my mind ended. I tried understanding the questions very well and I was successful with it.

Sa huli ako ang nagwagi bilang Valedictorian. Ayoko namang sabihing pinagbigyan ako ni Lucas dahil ang general average ko ay lamang ng dalawang puntos. Tinukso kami ng mga kaklase namin dahil kami ang Top 2. Anong magagawa ko? Inspired kasi kami sa isa't-isa kaya ganun.

Naging emosyonal ang speeches namin ni Lucas sa graduation at sa wakas ang buong MEH nakagraduate na rin hindi talaga ako nagsisisi sa desisyon ko noong palagpasin nalang ang nagawa ni Malfoy. Kahit na-heartbroken siya sa akin, nagpapasalamat siya dahil binago ko raw siya at iniahon mula sa kawalan sa pag-aaral. Si Elias at Herluin nagaya na rin kay Malfoy nagkaroon ng malaking pagbabago sa kanilang tatlo. Masaya ako para sa kanilang tatlo.

After our graduation, Mommy Claudia invited Lucas for lunch. As we ate, we discussed our future plans and ambitions.

After we finished eating, nagpaalam na si Lucas kay Mommy Claudia dahil uuwi na siya.

"Magvivideo call tayo sa 2nd anniversary natin. Mom and Dad had always wanted to see and talk with you visually."

"Aasahan ko 'yan Lucas."

Lucas gave me a kiss on the forehead before leaving. I guess it will be another anniversary filled with surprises.

2nd year aniversary

Maganda ang pagkagising ko! Talagang siniguro kong makakatulong ako ng mahimbing kaya ginamitan ko ang sarili ko ng spell na pangpatulog.

Teka bakit may hawak akong necklace? Now that's odd? I never saw this necklace around before. yung pendant nung necklace at may nakaukit na "Always remember, the one who loves you like no other".

Perhaps Sierralyn might know something about this necklace. I better go see her now.

I went to Sierralyn's room to ask her about this and at the same time ask her to help me bake a cake for Lucas. Kumatok ako pero hindi niya binuksan kataka-taka, gising na si Sierralyn sa mga oras na 'to ah? Pumasok nalang ako ng walang pahintulot. Nagulat ako sa bumunggad sa akin. Nakaratay si Sierralyn sa sahig. Halos mataranta ako sa nakita ko agad kong nilapitan siya at pinakiramdaman. Humihinga pa naman siya pero kahit anong kalbit ko sa kanya 'di ko siya magising-gising.
