"Daniel James Seavey it's your big day!"
"It's my big day!"
I jumped on Daniel's back and he gave me a piggyback ride to the back yard where everything was. We were having a little get-together type thing, no alcohol, thankfully, for Daniel. Oh yeah, and everyone was wearing onesies.
"Nadia."
"What?"
"I need a picture to post for this child's birthday and I'm too lazy to find one. Can you take one?"
"Wow I feel so loved," Daniel said.
"Yeah, I'll take one."
I handed Nadia my phone and she took a quick picture.
"Thank you." I got off of Daniels back and started heading upstairs.
"You're leaving me? I'm so hurt."
"Come inside then." I went inside and up to my room. I grabbed Daniel's presents and posted the picture before going back downstairs.

"These are for you," I said, handing Daniel his presents.
"I actually needed new shirts."
"I know, I've seen your closet." I grabbed Daniels arm once he was done opening his present and pulled him outside. "Now, everyone is waiting for you outside."
"Daniel, come on bro! Cake is waiting," Jonah said.
"Please tell me it's not chocolate," Daniel said, looking at me.
"Half chocolate, half vanilla."
"Okay, good. How do people like that stuff?"
"Chocolate is everything, you are just have messed up taste buds." I dragged Daniel to the middle of the yard. I stood up on an empty table. "Hey everybody!" I yelled, getting everyone's attention. "Happy birthday to you...."
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Daniel, happy birthday to you!" Everyone sang.
"Who wants cake?"

I went over to August and Eben while Daniel talked to the boys.
"Can I jump off your roof into the pool?" August asked.
"Why would you do that?" I asked.
"I don't know it just sounds cool."
"You are starting to act like Logan, I swear."
"Hey Kourtney, when are you gonna give Daniel that thing?" Brody asked, coming over to me.
"Right now." I walked away from August and Eben and over to Daniel. "Hey Daniel, I have something for you inside."
"Okay."
Daniel followed me into the music room and I shut the door.
"Why are we in the music room?" He asked.
"For your present." I took my guitar off the wall and sat down on my stool. I started to play the song I had wrote to Daniel. "I never thought that it'd be so simple but, I found a way, I found a way," I sang.
Once I finished I set my guitar down and looked up at Daniel.
"Wow. That was amazing," he said. He gave me a quick hug and we both went out of the music room.
I looked out the window at everybody. "I don't really want to go back out there."
"Then let's stay in. Stranger Things marathon?" He suggested.
"Stranger Things marathon."

After about three hours, Daniel started drifting off to sleep.
"Happy birthday Daniel," I whispered, allowing sleep to take over me as well.
