"Why am I up at eight in the morning?" I asked myself, making a cup of coffee. I made myself some breakfast before eating it. I wrote a note for Nadia, telling her that I went to the mall to exchange some clothes, and that I would be back later. I grabbed my bag before going outside and starting up my car. I noticed that the mailbox flag was up while I was pulling out of the drive way. I got out and put the flag down, checking to see if there was any mail we didn't get last night. I got everything out of the mail box then got back into my car, checking all of the mail. Most of it was just bills and ads, but one caught my attention. It was a white piece of notebook paper with blue hand writing on the front.
'Hope this isn't too creepy, leaving it at your house and all. if it makes you feel better, I didn't drop it off, I gave it to one of your friends to drop it off for me, I just asked them to put it in the mail box in the morning. Anyways, how was your day? I found out that they transferred all of your stuff, you are officially taking online classes. -xoxo, the author
P.S. theauthor on Instagram, I will try not to leave anymore notes at your house.'
I put the note into my bag before pulling out of the drive way and heading towards the mall.
-
I walked into forever 21. I went up to the counter and saw a cute cashier. but that wasn't what I was here for.
"Excuse me." I said.
"How can I help you?" he asked looking up. Wow, he had very pretty eyes.
"Um, I just needed to exchange these for a size smaller." I handed him the bag. As he looked through the clothes, I looked at a few bracelets. I found one that I really liked. it was a purple stone and a clear crystal, but I decided not to get them, since I already had so many pieces of jewelry.
"Here you go," the cashier said, handing me my bag of clothes, now in the correct size.
"Thank you," I looked down at his name tag before continuing, "West."
"No problem-" He paused for a second and smirked.
"Kourtney."
"No problem, Kourtney. Have a nice day."
"You too." I turned around and walked out of the store. I looked at my receipt and saw handwriting on the bottom. 'bracelets are on me. call me?' He also left his phone number. I looked through the bag and saw the set of bracelets that I was looking at earlier. I turned around and saw him standing back at the counter, smirking.  gave him a smile before heading back home.
-
I walked through the door to our house and saw all of the boys passed out in the living room. Nadia was in the kitchen doing something, so I went in there.
"What's going on with the doofs in the living room?"
"They came over, all really hyper, then passed out about ten minutes ago."
We talked for a few more minutes but she just kept smiling. Nadia was never like this.
"Okay, what has gotten into you?" I asked turning her around to face me.
"Nothing," she said, looking down. I could see a slight blush sweep across her face.
"Who is it?"
"What?"
"Nadia, who is it? You obviously like someone, or something happened with someone."
"No, you're going to give me this big long speech about how he isn't good for me, he'll hurt me, blah, blah, blah."
"Please. I promise I won't." Nadia gave me a look before I added, "I'll try not to."
"Brody."
"What?!"
"Brody."
"The same pig nosed jerk that cheated on you last time Brody?"
"Yes."
"Why? When? How?"
"We started talking again before they transferred all of our stuff. I'm personally willing to give him a second chance. I hope you are too."
I looked at her in disbelief for a few seconds, but I could tell she was serious about this. "Okay," I mumbled.
"What."
"Okay," I said, this time a little bit louder. "If you are willing to give him a second chance, I guess I can too." A smile flashed across her face and she did little jumps. "But I'm not going to let him off that easy."
"Just, don't break his nose this time. Please."
"Fine, I won't break his nose. This time."
"Thank you."
