March 10, 2018

Me and West were walking down the beach. It was windy, a little chilly, but perfect weather for me. I was wearing white swimsuit bottoms and a sweater. West was dragging slowly behind. Something was bothering him. I could tell.
"Hey baby what's wrong?" I asked, walking back to him.
"Nothing. It's nothing."
"No, it's something. Tell me. I won't be mad." I grabbed his hands and faced him so I was walking backwards.
"Are you sure?" He asked.
"Positive."
"I'm moving... to New York," he said.
"What?! Why?" I asked.
"Collage."
"I didn't know you wanted to go to collage. And we're still in highschool."
"Yeah, but I got a scholarship and have been accepted at a collage in New York. I have been wanting to go here for a while now. I am moving early. I'm taking a tour of the campus and renting an apartment only a few blocks down the street," he explained.
"You act like you have been thinking about this for a while." I let go of his hand and stopped.
"I have."
"That's fine. We can make it work. Look at Corbyn and Christina," I pointed out. "Chickee lives in New York, and their relationship is healthier than ever. We can work this out."
"That's the thing. I don't think we will be able to work it out."
"Oh no," I thought. "What do you mean?" My voice was starting to become louder, anger, sadness, confusion all boiling up inside of me. I started to feel out of breath. "You- you never know if something will- will work until you- you try it." Tears slowly started to creep down my face. I tasted the salty water as it touched my lips.
"I'm sorry Kourtney. This hurts me too, but I think we need to go our separate ways," he said.
"Wha- what."
'This hurts me too.' He doesn't show anything to say he's hurting. He looks more relieved than anything. Like I have been a weight on his shoulders for the past 7 and a half months, and I am finally being lifted off his shoulders.
"I'm sorry Kourtney. You dont have to bother seeing me again. I'm leaving tomorrow."
"So- so your seroius?"
"Yes. I'm seroius."
"I- I trusted you West. I told you every thing. Every de- detail of my life, and- and this, this is how I get repaid?"
"Well then, you can't exactly blame me can you. It was your mistake of trusting me in the first place."
I hadnt even realized i did anything until i looked up at saw that West was holding his face. A red mark from where I slapped him instantly formed.
Before I could register what i was doing I was running down the beach. My legs had a mind of their own.

West's POV

She slapped me. I don't blame her.
Tears were streaming down her face. She took off running. Like she didn't know what to do with herslef, she only knew how to run. So that's what she did.
I lied to her. She wouldn't ever see me again because I was leaving today. Not tomorrow.
I texted Natalie as my car pulled up. He had already stopped and got my luggage from my place

West💙: Its over. On my way to the airport right now.
Natalie💜: Yay! I can't wait to see you.
West💙: I can't wait either. I miss you.
Natalie💜: I miss you too. Your plane is supposed to land at 11 tonight right?
West💙: Yeah
Natalie💜: Great. I'll see you there😘
West💙: Can't wait to feel your arms wrapped around me😘

I looked up as the car pulled up to the airport. "Thanks for the ride Jake. You need anything hit me up."
"Right back at you bro. You always have me, Chance, and Anthony if you need anything," Jake said.
He says that now. He has no idea about what just happened. Kourtney knows Logan, they're pretty close. If he finds out what just went down, no doubt he'll probably hate me. The Paul rivalry online is totally different than in real life. They always have each other's back.
"Alright. Bye bro."

Kourtney's POV

I don't know how I got here, or how long I had been running. My legs felt like they were about to fall off, my lungs burning. Before I knew it the door flew open and I fell into Daniel's arms.
"Hey, hey, hey, Kourt, what's wrong?" Daniel asked.
All he got in response was sobs.
He picked me up and took me to his room. He set me down on the bed before pulling me back into a hug.
-
Daniel fell asleep about thirty minutes ago.
I just laid there, my head buried into his chest.
The guys, Nadia, Logan, and Brendan all tried to cheer me up. But I didn't talk to anyone. I just kept my head on Daniel's shoulder and in the crook of his neck.
I lifted my head off Daniel's shoulder and looked at his shirt. It had tear stains and mascara all over it. Whoops. I looked down at my hand and saw the promise ring.
All of a sudden my  anger level rose and I was unintentionally yelling. "You broke your fucking promise! SO FUCK YOU WEST!"
Daniel jolted up as I threw the ring across the room, landing it into the trash can. The tears started flowing again and Daniel got the memo why I was upset.
"Hey, he didn't deserve you. You'll be okay. You have all of us. We're all here for you." He pulled me into a hug as I curled up into a ball.
"He broke me, Dani. I thought he loved me. I thought he wouldn't be like Hayden. I thought he would keep his fucking promise. But no. He was just another Hayden in a disguise. I- I don't know what to do Daniel."
"I don't know what you should do either, but nothing stupid. I'll be here for you. You'll get over him, just like you did Hayden. I promise." He took his thumb and wiped a tear off of my cheek.
"Thank you Daniel. I don't know what I did to deserve you."
"You were just yourself. That's what I love about you. You never change for others."
I hugged him and laid back down, my head in the crook of his neck. "Thank you."
"Nothing to thank me for."
