Chapter 66

"Where are we going, D?" I asked.
Daniel was pulling my hand, dragging me to his car. "You'll see when we get there."
"Daniel, you know I hate surprises."
"Yes, yes I do."
"So why are you doing this to me?"
"Because you are adorable when your nervous." You could tell he didn’t mean to say that out loud, because as soon as he did he put his face down to try to hide his growing blush. Daniel opened the car door for me and I got in. He went to the other side and started the car. "We have a long drive, so you can go to sleep."
"Daniel, you woke me up at eight in the morning after I stayed up all night watching Disney movies. I was going to go to sleep no matter what you said."
"Yup, that’s the Kourtney I know."
I laid the seat back and covered myself with a blanket that was laying in Daniel's car. I closed my eyes and went to sleep, listening to Daniel softly singing to the radio.

"Kourtney, wake up, we're here," Daniel whispered, gently shaking me.
"I'm up." I fixed the car seat and got out of the car.
I grabbed my bag and turned around, suddenly noticing where we were. "Daniel, are my eyes playing tricks on me or are we actually at Disneyland."
"Nope, we are actually at Disneyland."
"AHHH!" I threw my arms around Daniels neck and gave him a hug. "I've always wanted to come here!"
"I know. It's all you used to talk about when we were younger. And don’t think I don’t notice you dropping hints you want to come every now and then."
"Thank you, Daniel," I mumbled. "Now, lets go!" I pulled away from the hug and grabbed Daniels arm, pulling him towards the entrance.

"Come on, Daniel."
"Geez, K, slow down."
"Sorry, I'm just excited."
"What ride do you want to ride next?" Daniel asked, catching up with me.
"Space Moutain?" Daniel suggested.
"Yeah, let's go."
After riding about every ride in the park, we finally decided to head back to the car.
"There is one last thing we have to do, you know," I said.
"And what's that?"
"Take a picture in front of the castle."
"Let's go do that, then we can stop and get something to eat."
"Alright." We walked in front of the castle and found somebody to take our picture. Turns out, they were a fan, so we took a few pictures with her.
I looked at the picture and showed it to Daniel. "I call dibs on posting it," I said before Daniel had the chance to.
"Dang, I was going to say that."
"You snooze you lose."

After we ate (we ended up just stopping at Taco Bell and eating there) we finally started to make our way back home.
"Thank you, Daniel. I had a lot of fun today."
"No problem. We needed some quality Kaniel time, plus I've wanted to take you to Disney for a while now."
"Kaniel?"
"It's our ship name, according to the fans."
"Daniel, hate to break it to ya, but were not dating."
"I know, but. uh-"
"I'm teasing Daniel."
"I know."
We stopped at a red light when my favorite song came on.
"I found a love for me. Darling, just dive right in and follow my lead," I sang.
"Well, I found a girl, beautiful and sweet. Oh, I never knew you were the someone waiting for me," Daniel sang. He kept looking into my eyes, amd me into his.
"Cause we were just kids when we fell in love, not knowing what it was. I will not give you up this time. But darling, just kiss me slow. Your heart is all I own. And in your eyes, you're holding mine," we sang together.
I looked over and froze. All I saw was the headlights and before everything turned black.
Daniels POV

It all happened so fast. One minute we were both singing, in our own little world. Next thing I knew police were holding me back as they drug her limp body out of the car.
"Is she okay? Please tell me she is okay!" I yelled at the cops.
"Sir, I'm going to need you to calm down and come with me. You're going to need to go to the hospital as well," one of the ambulance people said.
"I'm not going anywhere until I know that she is okay."
"She will be fine, she is on her way to the hospital right now. Her breathing is steady and she is doing good. Now, I'm going to need you to come with me."
"Bro, what happened?" Jonah asked, running towards me, along with the other boys.
"A drunk driver cra- crashed into the passenger side of- of the car." Tears started to fall harder as I thought about it.
"Is she okay?" Nadia asked, a worried tone in her voice.
"They told me she was."
"Sir, I need you to come now. Your arm is probably going to need stitches and we have to do a check up on you as well. Two of your friends can ride with you if you want.
"We'll come," Jack said as Corbyn followed him. "Well meet you guys at the hospital."
We all got into the back of the ambulance. The car started to move and doctors looked at my arm and bandaged it up.
"Once we get there you are definitely going to need stitches, and you might have a small concussion."
"I just want her to be okay."
"She will, Daniel. I promise," Corbyn said as Jack patted me on the back.
