"Are you ready for all of this?" Kristina asked, grabbing Parker's hand and leading her to the front of her mother's house.
"I don't think there would be much time to back out now," Parker joked but squeezed the other girl's hand. "It's gonna be fine. They are gonna be thrilled that you came. " Kristina nodded. "Yeah, and we both know that THAT isn't what I'm worried about. What if they are rude to you? So help me, I'll punch someone in the face." Kristina fumed. Parker however seemed to be laughing. "And this is why I love you, but I'm also a grown woman who can fend for herself," She said with a smile. "I will also be fine. Now let's go. " She said as she gestured to the door. Kristina faked a smile and opened the door.
The first person they saw was Molly, who was obviously overjoyed at the sight of them.
"Oh my God, you actually came! I honestly thought you were gonna weasel out of it!" Molly said pulling her sister in for a hug. "MOM! KRISTINA AND PARKER ARE HERE!" She yelled into the kitchen where her mother was with Sam, working on the big feast.
Kristina broke free of the hug and scrunched her face up at the volume of Molly's voice. "Was that really necessary?" Kristina asked with a wince as she and Parker sat down on the couch.
"Sorry about that. Mom and I had a bet. You showed up.... now I owe her 20 bucks." Molly stated. "She said you would show up solo though, so maybe I can get off with only giving her 10. How've you been Parker?" She asked her sister's girlfriend.
"I've been alright Molly. Hope you are still doing well in your classes." Parker replied as Alexis and Kristina's older sister Sam walked into the room.
"Kristina! Parker! I'm so glad you both came!" Sam said as she made her way to her little sister and hugged them both. "It really is so good to see you. You guys seem like you're doing well." She joked, elbowing Kristina in the ribs. Alexis and Kristina both rolled their eyes at that remark, which Sam of course as a PI would notice. "You guys are more alike than you think, just sayin'." She said and quickly threw her hands up and stepped out of the way when she received a not so pleasant look from her sister.
"Hey mom." Kristina said, hugging her mother. "How've you been?" She asked. "I would be better if you were home." Alexis replied. All three of her daughters gave her the same look. "Alright, alright! I won't say anything. I'm just glad you're here. Thank you Parker, for making sure she came by the way. She hasn't said anything, but I know it took some pushing to get her to agree to this."
Parker smiled at her girlfriend's mother. " It wasn't too difficult. She may not always like it, but I still tell her the truth. In the end, it usually suffices." She said with a slight laugh.
"However you got her here, it's appreciated. I'll be in the kitchen if you guys need anything." She said with a slight smile and made her way back with Sam to the kitchen to finish up the food.

"So are you guys staying here or in a hotel?'' Molly asked after they sat back down. Kristina looked at Parker. "I really don't know. We hadn't discussed it to be honest." Parker shrugged her shoulders. "We could do whichever you prefer hon, it doesn't matter to me." She replied.
Kristina looked at Molly. "What do you think? Is mom gonna flip shit over me having a girl in my room now?" She asked her sister. Molly glared. "I don't see why she would. You've already been married before so it's not like you haven't shared a room with someone before. She knows you aren't five. However, she might "flip shit" over that language, so keep that in mind while you are home." She joked and stood up. "I'm starving. I'm gonna go check on the food. I'll check on you two ladies in a bit." She said and walked out of the room.
"Are you doing okay babe?" Kristina asked as she pulled Parker to her feet. "You look a little nervous." Parker shook her head. "I'm fine. It's just been a long time since I've had to deal with a girl's parents. " She said with a smirk. "I'm a little out of practice." Kristina smiled and kissed her hand. "You're doing great, I promise. Wanna see my room?" She asked, pulling her towards the stairs. "It's the best room in the house, hands down."  "Well if you gotta put it like that, I absolutely have to then, don't I?" Parker replied with a slightly lingering kiss. "Aren't I the one who ought to be asking the questions professor?" Kristina said slyly and up they went to the best room in the house, hands down.
