The trip back was long, and even that could have been considered an understatement. "Oh my god are we friggin there yet?'' Kristina asked in a grumpy tone. "My ass is starting to hurt." Parker looked at the girl sitting next to her in the middle of the truck and laughed. "Almost honey, I promise. See?" Parker told her, pointing to a sign that said 'Welcome To Port Charles'. Kristina sighed in relief. "Thank God..I'm starting to feel old with how stiff my legs are right now." Parker glared at her. "Old people could never be as whiney as you are love."
Kristina leaned on Parker's shoulder. "Whatever. But honestly, it feels like we've been driving forever," She said, looking at the clock radio. "It's almost 10 already."  Parker looked down at the girl wrapped around her. "We can just park everything in the garage tonight. I'll unhook the trailer and park the truck in the other slot. We can just leave the car in the driveway for the night." She told her. Kristina nodded as their street came into view. "Sounds good to me babe.''
They pulled up to the house and Parker let Kristina out to go unlock the house while she did the things she mentioned she would do. When she made inside, she found Kristina on the phone, with whom she could only assume was Alexis. It was.
"Yeah mom, we're home....No, we just walked in the door." She heard. "We didn't bring the moving truck, we brought Dave's truck. Well technically he gave it to Parker, but it saved a little money bringing everything back...Lorraine seems to be doing better, yes. She and Dave will be down for Christmas by the way." Kristina was explaining. "Yup. We're gonna do a crossover family Christmas dinner here...Of course you are invited mom, jeez. But look," She interrupted her mother. "I'm gonna get off here, it's pretty late. We'll see you soon though, love you!" She said quickly hanging up the phone.
Kristina walked up to Parker and gave her a kiss. "Next time, remind me to text her." She said plainly before walking into the bedroom to plug her phone in on the charger. "Noted." Parker replied, following close behind her.
"What did she say about dinner?" Parker asked as she stepped into the bathroom that was inside their bedroom. Kristina popped her head in the door. "She just wanted to make sure she was allowed to show her face," Kristina said with a laugh, walking up to the other sink to brush her teeth. "I thought it was pretty clear that was the intention when I said crossover family dinner, but hey." She said before popping the toothbrush in her mouth.
Parker looked at the other girl's reflection in the wall sized mirror before them. "You don't think this is gonna go badly do you?" She asked. Kristina shook her head and spit. "I think it's gonna be fine. Your parents are lovely people, and mine can be too...well, to an extent anyways." She said with a smirk. "Besides, I'm thrilled they are coming to see the new house. They've never been here, have they?" Kristina asked. Parker shook her head. "Nope. They've never even left Oregon, so this is completely new for them."
Kristina rinsed her mouth out before turning to the taller blonde. "They can stay in the guest room obviously. We have the other bed now and there is plenty of space." She told her. Parker nodded her head in agreement. "I was thinking that too. They won't be familiar with anything around here, and it will only be for a couple of days. It couldn't be too bad could it?"
They finished up in the bathroom and got in the bed. "Guess what?" Kristina asked Parker. "What?" She replied. "We get married in 4 days." Kristina said smoothly. "That's right!" Parker exclaimed. "I didn't even realize it was Wednesday already." She said, pulling the smaller girl into their usual sleeping position, or at least what it always started out being. "In the morning, it will be 3." Kristina said, nuzzling herself into a comfy position on Parker's chest. "Yes it will." Parker said, kissing the top of Kristina's head and turning off the light.
