While Parker was at their house getting ready for the wedding with her parents, Kristina was at her mother's doing the same thing. Molly and Sam were there too."Hey!" Molly exclaimed as Kristina and Alexis walked into the house. "Oh my god, today is the day! Are you ready? Are you excited? Are you-" Molly rambled before Sam cut her off. "Let her shut the door first Molly, damn." Sam said with a smile. "Seriously though," Sam said, turning her attention to Kristina. "Are you excited?"
Kristina rolled her eyes. "Obviously! But right now, I really need to get ready. I don't want to be late for my own wedding." She told them. "You have my dress still, don't you mom?" Kristina asked Alexis. "Of course honey. I've also got your shoes. Maybe you should get your hair and makeup done first though yeah?" Kristina nodded in agreement.
Sam walked up to her sister. "I'm doing something with this," She said, gesturing to Kristina's still messy hair, currently tossed up in a ponytail. "And I,'' Molly stated, "Get to work with this." She said gesturing towards Kristina's untouched face. "Granted, I don't think I'll have to do much. I hate that you get all the best genetic qualities."
"All of my girls are beautiful. I won't be hearing anymore of that nonsense," Alexis told her daughters. "Now go on. Get upstairs and get your sister ready." All 3 girls agreed and took off, up the stairs. Alexis smiled to herself and shook her head. "Those girls will be the death of me."

"Mom!" Parker began. "It's rather difficult to finish my makeup when you keep stabbing me in the back of the head." Lorraine smacked the back of her head with a comb. "Stay still for 5 seconds and it wouldn't be pulling your hair." Her mother told her.  Parker rubbed the spot that was hit. 40 some odd years later, and Lorraine was still the same mother she had always been. Loving but stern. "If you want me to do your hair, you have to stay still." Aaaaand Parker was still the same little girl, every single time.
"I AM sitting still mama!" Parker whined, deciding to wait on her face until her mother was done pulling all of her hair out. "Could you be a little easier back there?" Lorraine clicked her tongue. "Look here, my child. You asked me to help you? Let me do it. Now hush, I'm almost done." She told her daughter, sticking one more pin in the back of her hair. "See? What do you think?"
Parker looked at herself in the mirror. She pictured herself in the dress as she did so. "I love it mom, thank you." She told her mother. "I'm glad to be able to still help, with my old age and all." Parker kissed her mother on the cheek. "Kristina and I can't thank you and dad enough for doing this." Parker told her, "Coming all this way? I know it was a long trip and probably pretty stressful." Lorraine took her daughter's face in her hands. "I wouldn't miss it for anything. I love both of you, and I've never been more thankful. I get to see my only daughter get married to someone that loves her back? There's a reason I gave her that ring."
Parker wrapped her smaller, fragile mother up in a warm hug. "I love you mama." She told her, with tears in her eyes.

The wedding was set in the park and Carly had everything ready long before anyone had shown up. Tables, chairs, you name it, she had it. Now all those empty chairs and tables were full, as the ceremony would begin shortly. Carly popped her head into where Kristina was getting her last minute touch ups done.
"You almost ready sweetie?" She asked a red faced Kristina. "Yup," She said taking deep breaths. "Why the hell am I so nervous though?" She asked. Carly just smiled at her. "It's just the wedding day jitters. Don't worry, everyone gets them. You look fantastic by the way. Your father is gonna melt to pieces...and so is Parker, just so you know." Carly told her, looking at her step daughter in her bridal gown and her hair all done. Kristina smiled nervously.
"Thank you. Have you seen her yet?" She asked.  Carly nodded her head. "Yes I have, and she looks amazing as well. You guys are gonna lose your minds when you see each other. I can't wait!" Kristina let out a laugh. "Me either!" She said looking at her phone. "
It's almost time. Can you help me with this?" She asked Carly as she pulled the clear plastic box out of her bag. Carly took the box. "This is gonna be so cute. I love this!" Carly told her as she took the item out of the box and helped Kristina put it on. "Very classy! I love it!" Her step mother told her enthusiastically. "I'm glad you do. Mom tried to talk me out of it." Kristina admitted. "Well, I'm glad you got it anyways," She told her, adjusting the object once more.
"Alright baby girl.. Are you ready?" Carly asked as they heard the music start. "Sure am," Kristina said in a shakey voice. "Is dad?" She asked. Carly nodded. "He's outside waiting to walk you down now."   Kristina gave a fierce nod. "Let's do this."
