Parker's face was starting to do it's thing again and Kristina realized she may have been silent longer than she intended.
"How did we manage to get this house without you working?" She asked. "Not that I'm complaining, from the outside it seems very nice and I'm sure the inside looks just as good. Just wondering."
"Well, to be honest, it's not completely a done deal just yet. I do have an arrangement with the realtor however, and what she said was that we could rent to own it if I put down the first few months rent down up front. It would still be ours until we pay it off. I still have a bit of money in the bank and I've got enough to cover it.  I have a job, regardless of the ridiculous comprises we will have to make, so the payments will be taken care of. Like I've been saying this entire time, it's all going to be up to you. " Parker explained.
"I might be able to help with your job situation," Kristina said. "I know you told me not to do anything stupid, so I didn't. I did, however, do something pretty smart, if I do say so myself." She said with a smile. "I'll fill you in on that later. Right now, I wanna see this house."  She stated as she noticed the realtor  walking towards them. Parker smiled. "You are definitely up to something Kristina," She told her as they got out of the car and met the lady that was going to show them the inside.

They finished up the tour of the four bedroom house and were in the kitchen discussing movie arrangements when Kristina's phone rang. It was her dad. She flashed her phone to Parker to let her know why she was stepping out, got a nod, and left the room.
"Hey dad! What's up?" Kristina asked. He was a hard headed man, but he was a damn good parent and she loved him very much. It was also nice to hear his voice.
"Hey kid! Are you ready for tomorrow?" He asked. Of course she was. She loved going to her dad's house.
"Heck yes! Thanks for having us over! Thanks for helping us out too. It's greatly appreciated, even if Parker doesn't know it yet." She told him.
"Anything for my little girl. Just make sure you both show up tomorrow and I'll handle the rest." He said. "Carly and Michael are excited to see you. Avery too! You've been gone too long."
"Speaking of, I'm actually in the middle of talking to a woman about a house. Is there any way I can just fill you in then?" Kristina asked.
"That sounds promising," He said with a laugh. "Sounds good. Love you kid."
"Love you too dad. I'll talk to you then." She said and she hung up the phone and made her way back to where her girlfriend and the lady were signing papers.
"We just need your signature a few times Kristina and you two are set to go." The lady told her so she went and initialed a few things.
"That's all the information we need." They were told as they were handed keys to the house. "It's all yours."
"Thank you!" They said in unison as the lady left and shut the door behind her. They looked at each other with cheesing grins.
"So I guess we are homeowners now?"  Kristina asked.  Parker laughed. "It looks like it. What do you think about all of this? Are you sure you're okay with it?" She asked as she looked around the large yet still empty house.
"I think this will work just fine." Kristina told her, leaning in for a kiss. "It's closer to home, and I really don't care where we live as long as you're here." She replied.
"I like that answer,'' Parker told her. "Your mother is going to be over the moon about this." Kristina rolled her eyes. "You are not lying. She's never gonna shut up about it, and she's probably going to be here all the time." She said with a sigh.
"It can't be that bad." Parker said, with an eye roll of her own. "At least we aren't living with her." That earned her a laugh from the other girl, which was worth more than she'd like to admit.
"That's a good point. We should probably get back to the house and inform her though. I can start packing up stuff too. We'll need to make a trip back to Oregon for all of our other stuff, and that is something she's not going to be happy about." Kristina mentioned.
"I think she'll be fine if we bring her to the house first to show her we actually got it. The last thing we need is for her thinking that I took off with you again to get you away from her." Parker replied.
"Good point. Shall we?" Kristina asked, taking the taller girl's hand. "We shall." Was her reply and back to the car they went to fill in Alexis on all the details of their new life.

That conversation went pretty well. They knew Alexis would be excited, but they weren't counting on her being THAT excited. She was ready to by them furniture and everything.
"MOOOOOOOM," Kristina had said. "We've got this, but thank you. We have furniture and everything already, we just have to take a trip to go get it,"
"I know, I know. I'll back off," She had told her daughter, which everyone in the room knew was a lie, Alexis included.
Either way, she spent the day helping Kristina and Parker pack up her bedroom, occasionally crying like she did when Kristina left home for college. It never got any easier for her apparently.
"I'm just gonna be 5 minutes away mom. We're still staying one more night anyways, so can we not cry until tomorrow?" She joked with her mother who did nothing in return but reach out and snatch her up in a silent hug.
"I just love you is all. I don't want you to forget it." Alexis said as she kissed the top of her daughter's head. "I know mom. I love you too. It's gonna be okay." She replied squeezing her mother a little tighter.
Thus the love between mother and daughter was fully reignited.

The next day they were on their way to Sonny's house when Parker spoke up. "You don't think me being here is going to be an issue do you? I don't want to cause any trouble. Are you sure I should-"
"Babe, it's gonna be fine. My dad is a lot more understanding than my mother. Even if he doesn't always agree with my decisions, he lets me make them on my own. Even helps me out every once in a while. Don't worry. They are going to love you." Kristina told her, kissing her hand. "We got this."
"I certainly hope so, because we are already here." Parker stated, her face starting to twitch.

They walked up to the door and Max was there. "Hey Max!" Kristina said, giving him a giant hug. "You remember Parker don't you?" He chuckled. "I don't see how I couldn't. Your dad has had me doing surveillance on you for a while, as you very well know." Kristina and Parker both smiled. "How could we forget you following us all over Port Charles???" Kristina asked playfully smacking him in the arm. "Mr. Corinthos is inside, go on in. Everyone is getting ready to eat." He told them and opened the door for them to step through.  "Thanks Max! We'll see you later." She said as they went inside.
They were immediately greeted by Carly who came running as soon as she heard Max radio her husband telling him they were here. "Kristina! Parker! I'm thrilled that you came!" She said as she hugged them. "Everyone is here now so we can eat!" She told them as they were lead to the dining room.
They walked in and found everyone seated at the table. There was Michael sitting next to Kiki, who was probably there for Avery, but was  loved just the same considering
her relationship she'd had with Morgan had made her family. Then there was Joss sitting next to where her mother would be seated. At the far end of the table there were two empty seats, right next to the big man himself.
"There's my girl!" Sonny said as he stood up to hug his daughter. "I'm glad you could make it. You too Parker," He said leaning into hug her as well. "I heard from a little birdie that you guys have gotten a house here in Port Charles? That's great news!" He said. "A lot closer than Oregon."
"I just hope we can keep it," Parker said. "It all depends on if this job works out. There are some ridiculous conditions I had to agree to to keep my position. I may value my job Mr. Corinthos, but I value my relationship more."
"Kristina had mentioned something about that yesterday. I hope you don't mind. I found someone who can help you out with all of those conditions if you want to change the mind of the dean." He told them and gestured to the door to the kitchen and standing there was the one and only Diane Miller.
