Later on that night as they were getting ready for bed, Kristina decided to bring it up.
"So babe," She started as sat down on her side of the bed and turned to face Parker. "Sam brought something to my attention earlier and it's not a huge deal or a rush or anything but I need to ask you something." Parker put down her book to let her know she was paying attention. Kristina continued, "What do you think about kids?" She asked.
"Are you asking if I like them or if I want them?" Parker asked the other girl. Kristina ran her fingers through her hair, trying to figure out how to word what she wanted to say.
"I'm asking if you have thought about having kids before. Like whether it be by your ex or just thinking about your future in general." Kristina explained. Parker pulled her close to her chest.
"It never came up in my previous marriage. She hated kids and made that perfectly clear, therefore I never really saw myself having any. I thought that was my life from then on, no point in trying to make a family with someone who wouldn't care enough about a child," Parker told her. "I did want them though, yes. Why do you ask?"  Kristina was starting to get butterflies in her stomach. She wrapped her arms around her future wife's waist and pulled herself even tighter into her embrace.
"I never thought about having kids, like I told Sam earlier. I mean, I have so many nieces and nephews I thought I could just borrow them if I ever felt like mommin' it." She joked, "But to be honest, watching you with Scout and Danny have changed my thoughts on it completely. You're so good with them and they worship the ground Auntie Parker walks on.  If I'm going to have kids, I really can't see it happening with anyone other than you." Kristina told a teary eyed Parker.
"Really?" Parker asked, running her fingers through the hair of the girl she loved. "So are you saying you want to have babies with me?" Kristina sat up and looked her in the face. "Of course I want to have babies with you, granted I wish we could make them the old fashioned way." She joked, kissing the taller girl on the nose before laying back down on her chest. "I do think we should wait until after the wedding though." She explained.
Parker agreed. "Yeah, I think it's best to wait until after the wedding. If nothing else, just so there won't be any drama from your parents, or mine for that matter. Plus we'll be more financially set by that point. Speaking of," she began,"We should probably pick a date." Kristina shrugged her shoulders.
"We haven't even discussed what kind of wedding we want yet." Kristina stated. "Are we gonna have a big wedding, a small one, and eloped one?" She asked, that last part about eloping meant to be a joke. It wasn't taken that way.
"I hadn't even thought about eloping. That's not a horrible idea in my opinion." Parker said as thought it over out loud. "My parents won't be able to come and a wedding in Port Charles is sure to end in a disaster, from what I've seen anyway."
Kristina was thinking about it now as well. "I honestly wasn't meaning we should elope, but I totally get your point. If we have a wedding here someone is either gonna get shot or kidnapped. It seems to be a tradition." Kristina said with a laugh. "But how would we would elope? We would still need two witnesses for a courthouse marriage and if we mention it to anyone, my mother is sure to find out."
Parker thought about it for a minute. "What about Sam and Molly?" She asked. Kristina rolled her eyes. "Sam is a good choice, but Molly will eventually cave." Kristina explained.  "What if we do this... What if you tell Sam beforehand and Molly right before we leave? Who cares if your mother finds out after we're already married?" Parker asked.
"That's not a bad idea. Now the struggle will be figuring out when we want to do it." Kristina said as she traced little hearts with her finger on the other girl's skin. "How about we do it this weekend? I start back at PCU tomorrow morning so I'll be pretty busy getting settled back in. That gives you time to talk to Sam and set everything up with her and Molly.'' Parker told her, kissing the top of her head.  "Maybe after it's official, we can have a little ceremony or something when we get back. If you want to that is." Parker informed her.
"Probably a good idea. Mom's already gonna flip shit when she finds out I got married without her. It's not like they didn't see what happened in my last marriage, which by the way was one of the dumbest things I've ever done in my childlike state." Kristina told her. "Dad likes you though, so he might want to be apart of the whole walking me down the aisle thing."
Parker smiled. "I bet he would though. It gives me some time to try and get my parents to come down too. They love you to death and contrary to popular belief, I may be an adult but I still listen to my parents. They would kill me if they didn't get to see a ceremony, or you in a white dress." She said with a laugh. "I'm telling you now, they love you more than they love me."
This made Kristina smile. She loved Parker's parents. They were genuinely sweet people. Old but sweet. They had never disrespected her in the slightest, but when it came to Parker's ex wife, she had heard some stories. Let's just say that it was clear that they didn't care for that woman too much. She was very grateful to be on their good side.
"I don't know that I would go that far with it," Kristina told her. "I will say they like me more than your ex, and I intend to keep it that way. That being said, yes! Definitely call your parents sometime this week."
Parker leaned up to turn off the lights. "Yes ma'am," She told her. "Now let's get some sleep. It's already 11 and I have to be up at 5:30." Parker explained. Kristina nodded, nuzzling her face into the other girl's chest getting comfortable. "Sounds good to me. I'm hella tired." She told her. "Love you," She said before closing her eyes. "Love you too honey," was the last thing she heard before finally dozing off.
