They hadn't even made it into the lobby before Kristina and Parker ran into Carly. "Hey you two! How'd it go?" She asked, looking at the two girls briefly before spotting the ring on Kristina's finger. Her eyes got wide. "Nevermind," She said, smiling at Parker. "I think I've figured out the answer. Congratulations you guys! I'm so happy for you!" Carly told them, hugging them both and squeezing her step daughter twice as hard.
"Thanks Carly," Kristina said. "I take it you knew about this?" Carly shrugged her shoulders in surrender.
"I know everything that goes on with my kids. Have you forgotten who your father is?" She said with a smile. "I'm just glad you found someone that's good for you this time, not like that shit bag Kiefer."
Kristina winced a little. She hadn't thought about him in a long time, and she certainly didn't want to.
"Who is Kiefer?'' Parker asked and Kristina dropped her hand.
"You know what? Let's just enjoy ourselves tonight okay? I'd rather not get into that right now. I'm gonna go see what everyone is doing." She said kissing her future wife. "I'll see you in a bit okay?" She told her before leaving both her and Carly in the doorway as she went into what seemed to be a rathe large party.
"Did I say something?" Parker asked. Carly gave the so so motion with her hands as she spoke.
"Yes and no, but it's not your fault, it's mine. I kinda just assumed she'd told you about him." Carly explained.
"She's told me that she's dated men before me, which doesn't bother me, but I've never really asked for details. Who is he?" Parker asked. Carly shook her head.
"If she hasn't told you about him yet, then she's not ready. All I'll say is that he's a piece of crap and I'm glad he's dead. Karma is a bitch, and he got his." Carly replied. "That being said, please make sure I didn't ruin her evening. She may not have my blood, but I love that kid more than she knows, even if she is all grown up and getting married now."
Parker was very confused, but smiled anyways. She wouldn't mention it tonight. She knew Kristina would end up telling her eventually now that she'd asked. She'd just have to wait for the other girl to come to her instead. She thanked Carly and agreed to make sure Kristina enjoyed herself and made her way into the sea of people to find the woman she loved, determined to make sure they hadn't accidentally ruined her night.Kristina was telling her father and sisters the good news when she spotted Parker coming their way.
"Hey babe," She said as she patted the seat next to her. "I was just filling them on our recent engagement. Apparently he did know about it, but only because someone mentioned it beforehand." She said with a smirk. Parker threw her hands up in surrender.
"What did you think I was gonna do? Marry the Godfather of Port Charles' daughter without his consent? Have you ever seen a mobster movie?" Parker said with a laugh. Sonny shrugged his shoulders.
"She has a point you know," He said laughing. Kristina gave him a look. "What? I'm kidding, I'm kidding. You know I'm happy for my baby girl! And as for you," He said, now speaking to Parker, "Welcome to the family."
"Hear, hear," The table said and they all clinked the glasses they had. Molly looked at her sister and her new bride to be. "So have you talked to mom yet?" She asked.
"We saw her when we first came in the door, but not since. What about her?'' Kristina asked. Sam broke into the conversation.
"She brought a date! I'm so proud of her for finally breaking out of her shell. She's been a mess since my father's sentencing and she needs someone who won't put her life in danger. She deserves better." Sam stated.
Molly and Kristina both nodded their heads. "You can say that again," Molly said. "Who is it?" Kristina asked. Both of her sisters shrugged their shoulders.
"We don't know. He's not from here. Whoever he is has to be better than Julian though," Molly replied. Everyone at the table could agree with that.
They talked for a while longer before Jason showed up to pick up Sam. Apparently Danny was getting sick and not even Annabelle the Second could make him feel better so they had to go get the kids.
"Congratulations to you both though. Sam and I had been placing bets for a while on who would pop the question first. I just won 40 bucks!" Jason joked as he hugged his sister in law(s). "Have a good night everyone." They said and left the party.
"Poor kid. I hope he feels better soon." Parker said. Kristina took her hand. "Me too. It's gotta be bad if the dog isn't helping. He loves her like crazy." She replied.
"I'm sure it's just a stomach bug or something," Sonny said, standing up from the table. His phone was vibrating. "It's that kind of weather. He'll get better soon." He told them kissing the top of his daughter's head. "I'll catch you later kid. I've got to take this."
Kristina watched her dad walk away. "Business never stops I guess." She said, taking another sip of her drink. Just then, Molly's phone went off as well.
"It's TJ." She said looking at her phone. "He just got here. I'm gonna go find him okay?" She said hugging her sister and the soon to be addition to the family. "I'm happy as hell for you two. Especially you." She said poking her sister on the nose. "Love you!" She said and ran off to find her boyfriend.
Parker and Kristina looked around a little longer for Alexis (and failing) before Parker spoke up.
"Do you wanna ditch this party? Let's go dancing or something." She said. Kristina's eyes lit up. "Yes! I'm so down. Right now?" She asked. Parker raised and eyebrow. "No next week... Yes right now." She said unable keep a straight face. Kristina smiled and looped her arm through the taller girl's.
"Alright then. Shall we?" Kristina asked. They made their way to the exit. "Yes we shall." Parker replied and off into the night they snuck.
