By the time they made it to Eugene, it was already almost 6. It was a small town, and all the stores were starting to close up. "I'm gonna call my dad real quick and see if they've been released yet. I'm not gonna lie, I would much rather see her at home than in the hospital." Kristina nodded, kissing the concerned woman's hand. "Go ahead babe," Kristina told her, sitting down on a bench that was placed on the sidewalk. "Send them my love."
Parker smiled at that. "I will relay the message." She said pulling out her phone and dialing her father.
"Hey dad... How's she doing?" Parker asked the man on the other line. "Really? Oh that's good news! So glad she got to go home, we all know how she gets being all cooped up....Well actually, Kristina and I are already here. Yup... In Eugene.....Yup....How about we just talk about it when we get there. Don't tell her though! Just tell her we called to check in." Kristina eyeballed her future wife.  "Oh and Kristina says she loves you guys." She said, quickly earning a thumbs up. "We'll see you soon." She told him and hung up.
"Dad says to tell you they love you too. And that they are at the house now, so shall we?" Parker asked, hooking her arm through the other girl's. Kristina took the hint and started walking towards Parker's parent's house. It was only a couple blocks away. Everything was only a couple blocks away. That's the thing about small towns, everything is definitely within walking distance.
"This place reminds me of the Gilmore Girls." Kristina said out loud. Parker let out a snort. "The Gilmore Girls don't have anything on Eugene," Kristina leaned into the taller girls arm and continued to listen. "People are so mean here. And they had a decent coffee shop on that show."
Kristina gave a laugh of her own at that one. "Nothing like Perks anyway!" She said with a cheesing grin. Parker kissed the top of the excited girl. "Ah yes! Speaking of, how was your first day?"
Kristina thought about it and in all honesty, it was horrible. She was so concerned about Parker that she couldn't retain anything that she was supposed to be learning about the business. "It was alright," she lied. She didn't want Parker to feel like any of this was her fault, because it certainly wasn't. "A lot to take in though. I'll definitely need a refresher when we get back home." She told the taller girl. "Did you do okay with your students?"
Parker nodded. "Not too many problems, just that damn Melissa kid. I know as a teacher, I'm supposed to be above all that petty drama, but that kid is just an ass hat sometimes. Molly's got it handled though I think, for the most part anyway." Kristina hooked her fingers through Parker's. "I need to message her about that," Kristina told her, getting an angry look on her face again. "I swear, I'll beat her a-" "Yes, yes, I know. My Mobster Princess girlfriend has no fear, with her adorable, pint sized, fiesty self." Parker said with a smirk. Kristina nodded in agreement. "And don't you forget it!" She said, leaning on her tip toes for a kiss. Parker gladly returned it before gesturing to turn right at the stop sign.
"Almost there. Also," Parker said, pausing to look at the brunette, "Are we gonna stay at the old apartment while we're here? "Kristina picked a piece of trash off the sidewalk and threw it in the trash. "Sounds good to me babe. We have to get our stuff while we're up here anyway." She replied.  Parker continued, "I thought you might want to, but I didn't want to assume. I would also prefer NOT to stay at my parent's house. They may love you, and we may be grown, but they will still pull an Alexis and have me on the couch." She informed her.  Kristina gave her a confused look. "I told you,'' Parker began. "They like you more than me. They would have kicked me out of my own bed so that you could use it, not that I wouldn't have done that without them telling me to do so." She stated as they slowed down and a large, white, farmhouse came into view.  "Home sweet home."
