They pulled into Perks, (Parker was not in the mood for Mcdonald's and all the kids in there right now) and got out of the car. "There's something I want to talk to you about while we're in here." Kristina told her as she held the door open for the other girl to walk in the coffee shop. "What's that?" Parker asked and they ordered their lunches before going to find a table.
"My dad called this morning." Kristina explained. "He asked me if I wanted to run this place." Kristina said, gesturing to the shop with her hands. Parker looked shocked, but impressed. "What? Perks? Isn't your ex running it?" She replied. Kristina shook her head. "Not anymore. He had to move for a family emergency and dad needs someone to take over ASAP. He knew you were going back to work and I was gonna be home all day so he asked if I wanted to take it over. I won't even have to be in the store half the time and I can make my own hours. What do you think?" She asked her.   Parker thought about it for a second. She really didn't see what would make it a bad idea. "Sounds like a good idea to me. What do you want to do though?"
Kristina took a bite of her food and a sip of her coffee. "I think I'm gonna do it. Not to bring it up again so soon, but with planning for a child, both of our incomes would be very useful.  Whether it be by artificial insemination or adoption, both are very pricey. And then there's the whole after we bring it home thing." Kristina stated. Parker nodded in agreement. "Definitely gonna need that extra cash flow. Although we should probably discuss which of those options we want to do." She informed her.
"I hadn't really thought about it that far along yet. There are so many babies and small children who need homes, but I think it would be awesome for us to do AI and a baby to look like us. " Kristina replied. Parker stole one of Kristin's fries and popped it in her mouth. "We could do both you know."
Kristina dropped the handful of fries she was about to shove in her mouth. "Huh?" She replied. Parker laughed but continued. "Well not at the same time. Like we could have one by AI the first time and later on if we decide we want another, we can adopt." Kristina picked her fries back up. "I guess that makes sense. I thought you meant both right now." She said. ''I don't know if I want to start out with two at first." She said with a smile. Parker returned it and told her, "I don't blame you there. I don't think I'm ready for two at once either."
Kristina's phone started vibrating on the table. Sonny was calling. "Go ahead and answer it. I'll go pay." Parker told her, giving her a quick kiss before taking off to the register.
"Hello?" She said into the phone. "Hey kid. Did you make a decision yet?" He asked her. "Yeah, Parker and I just discussed it. When do you need me to start?" She asked him. "Can you come in tomorrow? I know you pretty much know what to do, but just in case I'm gonna come in and show you. I'll be there at 9." He explained. "Alright dad. I'll see you then." She told him. "Love you and thank you!"  She heard her father laugh."So excited to work I see. Love you too kid. See you then." He said and she hung up.
"I start tomorrow morning at 9," She told the taller blonde, who had just made it back to the table. "He's gonna walk me through what I'm supposed to do." Parker grabbed her hand and helped her to her feet. "I'm so excited for you. I've heard you talk about how much you've loved this place forever now. Morgan would be very proud of you, I'm sure." Kristina gave her that famous smile. "Yeah, he would. I wish he was here. Work would be so much fun with him around. Never was a dull moment, that's for sure." She said still smiling. "Is it time for you to go back to work?"
Parker looked at her phone. "Unfortunately. You should probably text Molly and have her tell her friend not to say anything to my boss." Kristina rolled her eyes. "Fine, but screw that Melissa chick. I hope she chokes on a dick, just sayin." She told the blonde, who's eyes were doing a bit of rolling of their own. "Oh my God Kristina, can we NOT speak about penis right after we've eaten? I'd rather keep my food down." She joked handing Kristina the keys. "You drive this time. You're just dropping me off anyway." Kristina took the keys. "Fine, but only because I'll deck her in the face again if I see her and she runs her mouth." She told her opening the car door and hopping the driver's seat. Parker just shook her head and laughed. "Wouldn't have expected anything less from my little Mob Princess. "
Kristina grabbed her hand and then put the car in drive. A few minutes later, they had arrived at the front entrance to the school. "I'm not sorry I hit her, but I am sorry I did it at your work.'' She told Parker as she leaned in for a kiss. Parker gave her one. "I understand why you did it," Parker replied, giving her another little kiss. "Just try and keep it off campus from now on okay? Diane can only get me out of so much trouble." Kristina nodded, stealing one more kiss to make it three. "Understood. I love you, call me when you're ready for me to come pick you up." She told her and Parker agreed, getting out of the car and heading in the building.
Kristina pulled out of the parking lot and began to head to their house. She was still pretty irritated with that Melissa girl. She better be happy her girlfriend told her to stop. She better be glad she respected the wishes of her future wife. I mean how dumb can you be to piss off the daughter of the Godfather of Port Charles? She smiled to herself. Parker did have a way of turning messed up people into someone better, herself included. She would always refer to herself as the lucky one, no matter how much Parker seems to want to deny it. She was everything to Kristina and she had all the time in the world to show her.
