"So this is the room you grew up in huh?" Parker asked as she and Kristina stood in the doorway.
"Pretty much. I mean I have a room at my dads too, but this right here is my woman cave." She replied with a dorky smile.
"Woman cave? Really? That's what you call it?" Parker replied with a laugh.
"Hey!" Kristina laughed and smacked her girlfriend in the arm. "Don't diss the name. If men can have a man cave, then I can have a woman's cave. Besides, this room has all my favorite things in here. As you can see, I'm not really good at throwing things away." She said as she looked around the clean, but could be on an episode of Hoarder's like bedroom.
"It looks like it's gonna be a lot to move considering you don't care to part with any of it." Parker told her. "If you decide by the end of this trip that you want to move a little closer to your family," She paused as Kristina rolled her eyes, a habit that she was more than used to but still was bugged by at times. "Roll your eyes all you want. You might not admit it, but I know you miss being here so don't even try that with me. Anyway, if you decide you want to do that we'll need a bigger place. If your mother can help me get my job back or at least something similar, doing that won't be an issue."
"You really do think of everything. I guess that's why you're the teacher." Kristina said and she leaned in for a kiss. "I can think of a few other lessons to teach you later if you want." Her gf replied and gave her the kiss she'd been waiting for.
"The hell you will. You're sleeping on the couch." Alexis said, stepping in the doorway with her hands on her hips and an aggravated look on her face.
"Mom! Come on! We won't do anything!" Kristina told her mother with a very blushed face.
"Damn right you won't. Like I said-" She started.
"It's fine Kristina. The couch is fine. It's your mother's house, we respect your mother's rules." Parker said.
Kristina mumbled something along the lines of "this is bullshit" but agreed.
"Good. Are you two ready to Eat? Dinner is finally finished and I am starving." Alexis said and she turned and walked out the door.
"Are you sure you don't want to get a room? We can go to the Metro and we probably wouldn't even have to pay hardly crap with Carly running it. We'd get a crazy good discount." Kristina asked her.
"It really is fine Kristina. I'm honestly not suprised after that little incident." She said with a laugh. "It will be okay. If you decide you want to get one tomorrow we can, but we're already here and we might as well stay at least one night, okay?''
Kristina sighed. She was hating this already. "Whatever," She said leaning in for a hug and tucking her head under the taller girl's chin. "Are you ready to eat? Other than my mom, everyone else is pretty awesome. Sam's kids are here, although I don't think Jason is, and TJ is supposed to be here with Molly. You pretty much know everyone except Danny, and he's a pretty awesome little dude."
"I'm sure it's going to be one amazing dinner. It smells that way anyway. Shall we?" Parker asked, hooking her arm through Kristina's.
"Yes ma'am. Onward and yonward!" She replied and they went downstairs to eat.Dinner was going well so far, which was so unlike a normal thanksgiving in her house every year before. Kristina was enjoying herself and it seemed like Parker was too, who was engrossed in a conversation about Sam's kids, Danny and Scout. It was a sight that melted souls, Kristina thought to herself.
"So Molly tells me that you two are thinking of moving back to Port Charles?'' Alexis asked as she took a bit of her food. Kristina nodded.
"Thinking about it. It really depends on if she can get back to work here or not, but we have discussed it. She's made it clear that if I want to, she will find a way for us to do stay in town."
"I'll make some calls tomorrow and see what I can do about getting her job back. She just really needs to COMPLY with the rules this time. If she messes up again, it will be out of my hands." Alexis informed her.
"Got it. Thanks mom. Really. I don't know how she lost her job in the first place, but she's a really good teacher and she loves it. It's not fair that it was just taken from her. " Kristina scowled involuntarily. It really upset her when she thought about someone sabotaging her girlfriend's career, especially because there was no reason for it.
"As long as she doesn't sleep with anymore of her student's she'll be fine." Alexis said smugly but quickly left it alone when she saw the look her daughter was giving her.
"You really got that go to hell look down dont you? Where do you think you got it from kid?" She joked, smiling at her daughter. "All jokes aside, I'm just really happy to have you here this year."
"Me too mom." Kristina shoved a bite in her mouth while she thought about how to ask her next question.
"So mom-" She started but was quickly interrupted with a "No! She's still sleeping on the couch" and decided to just finish the rest of her plate in silence all while Alexis was smiling, clearly just happy to have her home for Thanksgiving.Later on that night after everyone had gone to bed, Kristina snuck down the stairs (she'd had plenty of practice with this) and found Parker laying on the couch, watching TV.
"What are you doing up?" Parker asked as Kristina shoved her over a little so she could climb into her arms.
"I can't sleep without you up there. I tried, but it just wasn't happening." Kristina said, wrapping them both up in the blanket and tucking herself into the other girl.
"Your mother is going to be pissed if she sees you in here." Parker told her as she kissed the top of her girlfriend's head.
"She can get over it. It's the living room and in the wide open. She may not want us having any fun behind closed doors, but she knows we wouldn't do anything out here. Besides, I'm tired." Kristina replied with sleepy eyes.
"Go to sleep then. We'll deal with whatever trouble we end up with in the morning." Parker told her as she played with her hair. Before long, they were both fast asleep.
