Parker's alarm went off at a quarter til six and she rolled out of bed quietly, so not to wake the sleeping girl beside her. She went into the kitchen and put the coffee on brew. While the coffee was being made, she snuck quietly back into their room to get her clothes for the day before getting dressed in the kitchen. Kristina was adorable when she slept, but not so much when woken up before she was ready. Parker smiled at that thought.
She finished getting ready and looked at the clock. It was 6:20 and she had to be at the school by 7 to start prepping for her classes. She went back into the bedroom to kiss a sleeping Kristina goodbye and left a note on the bedside table. 'Went to work, text me when you wake up! Love you!- Parker' and then she was off for her first day at PCU for a second time.Kristina woke up and found the note Parker had left for her. She smiled to herself and got up to grab a cup of coffee. She looked at the clock. It was 8 already. She unplugged her phone from the charger and unlocked it. She scrolled through her contacts until she found the number she was looking for.
- Kristina: Hey Babe, just wanted to see how your first day was going! Miss you and love you 😍😘
She put the phone down and went to go to her morning routine. She brushed her teeth, went to the bathroom, and got dressed before she came back to check for a reply.- Parker: Good morning Mobster Princess! Slept well I assume, considering you were still out when I left this morning 😴 Work is good! No complaints yet, but I'm only in 2nd period.
Kristina let out a laugh before replying.- Kristina: LOL😂😆 Good point, and YES I DID PROFESSOR 😜 Wanna have lunch later?
It took a few minutes, but Parker replied with- Parker: Well of course. My break is at 11:30. See you then?
- Kristina: Alright Babe, I'll see you then.Kristina exited out of her text box and scrolled down to the next person she needed to speak with. It rang three times before Sam picked up. "Hello? What are you doing up so early?" She asked. "Yeah, about that...I'm gonna need you to do me a favor." She told her and she explained the whole elopement thing and what she needed her to do.
"Mom is gonna lose her mind Kristina," Sam said. "But yes, I'll go with you. Only if you promise to still do the ceremony later on." Kristina nodded into the phone. "That's the plan. Don't mention it to Molly yet. We're trying to wait until right before so mom doesn't force it out of her. She can't keep a secret to save her life." She joked and her older sister laughed. "You are not lying there. So this weekend? I'm not sure what Jason has going, but if he's busy I'll just drop the kids off at Monica's." "Thanks Sam, I appreciate it." Kristina told her. "I'll give you a call later to tell you whether or not it's gonna be Saturday or Sunday. I'm gonna get ready to meet Parker for lunch though," She said.
"Lunch at the school? That's pretty ballsy," Sam told her. "Awesome, but ballsy." Kristina shook her head involuntarily. "Nah," She replied. "I'm just gonna go pick her up. She walked today. I guess she was trying to prep for class. We're probably just gonna go to Mcdonalds or something." "That makes sense. You two love birds have fun! I'll talk to you later, Danny hurt his foot. Love you!" Sam said before hanging up the phone.
Kristina put her phone down once again so she could go finish getting ready to pick Parker up. She looked at the clock. It was 9 now. God this was going to be a long day. She was about to put on something on Netflix when her phone started ringing. "If I could not have to be on the phone all day, that would be great." She said out loud to herself before noticing it was her father.
"Hey dad! What's up?" She asked as she plopped down on the couch. She could practically hear him smiling through the phone. "Just getting up and getting around. Carly left to take care of something at the Metro Court and I just wanted to see if Parker was doing okay back at work." He told her.
She loved that he actually cared enough to ask how her partner was doing, AND that he actually meant what he said. "She's doing alright. I messaged her a little while ago and she said it was going pretty well. Her students haven't made her pull her hair out yet anyways." She said with a laugh. "Thanks for asking." She told him.
"No problem princess. I do have another question for you. What do you think about running Perks?" He asked her. Kristina's face scrunched up. "Me? Why? I thought Aaron had taken over?" She tucked her feet underneath her. "Well, it turns out he has some family issues out of state and he has to move rather suddenly. I know you liked working there, but it was a complicated situation. The business is yours if you want it. I thought it might make you some pretty decent money and with Parker working too, you'll be home by yourself a lot. What do you think?"
She thought about it for a little bit. "It sounds like a good idea to me so I'm gonna say most likely yes. I don't think Parker would complain, but I'm gonna talk to her about it first before I give a definite answer." She explained.
"I understand kiddo. Just let me know when you talk to her. Time is money and I have to have someone running the shop." He told her. "I know dad. I'll bring it up at lunch, which I'm going to be late for if I don't get going." She said, looking at the clock. It was 11. "I'm meeting Parker at the school and then we're gonna go eat, but I love you dad." She told him. "Okay kid. I'll talk to you later. You two have a good day." He replied and she hung up the phone.
Now it was time for the craziest part of her morning. She had to find the car keys.
