2. A New Beginning

"Welcome to Claire's Cafe, how may I-" I asked, then froze. "Um, are you okay?" Magnus asked, confused.
"Magnus?"
"Do I know you?"
"Um, no, I mean, yes. I'm Alan"
"Sorry, but I don't know an Alan"

Now

Alan's POV
"I'm sorry, what?" I asked. "I don't know an Alan. Can I order now?" Magnus repeated, annoyed.
"Um, yes. What would you like?"
"The steak and shrimp please"
"Absolutely"
I just stood there until Magnus coughed, bringing me back to reality. "Um, sorry," I stated. "You better be," Magnus threatened.
"When did you become so violent, Magnus?"
"Look, I don't know how you know my name or what I used to be like, but I'd really appreciate it if you just backed off"
"Why would I back off my soulmate?"
"I've already met my soulmate and lost him, so please leave me alone"
"Look at me! You may not know me now, but you have in a different life"
"I don't-"

Magnus's POV
When I looked up, I was met with beautiful blue eyes staring at me. His black hair complemented his black jeans which fitted him perfectly in all the right places and his blue buttoned down shirt was absolutely gorgeous. That was when I realized. "Alexander?" I asked, surprised. Alan smiled at me softly before sitting down across from me. "Took you long enough, my love," Alan chuckled.
"How did you even remember who I was?"
"I could never forget you, Mags. You're my soulmate, my prince, and my life"
I blushed before grabbing his hand softly and rubbed shapes on them. "Is Magnus Bane, the high warlock of Brooklyn, blushing?" Alan teased, making me chuckle. "How did you know I was still the high warlock?" I asked.
"Your ring told me"
"Ah, so you do pay attention. I never took the ring off, you know"
"You could've if you wanted to"
"Alan, Alexander, this ring is my most valuable object in my entire life because of you"
Alan blushed and kissed my cheek softly. "I was going to ask you, you know, then that night I.." Alan shivered of the memory, making me emotional. "Ask me now, you know what my answer would be," I responded sadly.
"You don't want to start over and go slow?"
"I need to be with you for the rest of my immortal life. I already know I love you, my love"
"Magnus, I'll just end up leaving you again"
"There's a way for you to live forever if you want it, that is"
"Are you kidding? Of course, I want it!"
I smiled before kissing his lips passionately. "That's what I was hoping for, my love," I spoke softly. "Magnus Bane, make me the happiest man alive and marry me?" Alan asked.
"Yes! A thousand times yes!"

Third Person POV
And they lived happily ever after.
