After All This Time?

Alec's POV

No one understood what it was like to die then come back to life after a few minutes. I had no family, no friends, and no lovers. Ever since then, I was doing things that I know I shouldn't but it was very tempting. Especially since I met Mark, the bad guy of the century. He got me into drugs, getting drunk, and having meaningless sex. Once I started, I couldn't stop.

"Alec, you doing ok?" Mark asked, grinning like an idiot.

"Fine..." I slurred.

"We have company coming. Apparently, it's the high warlock of Brooklyn," Katie, a random person from our group, spoke. My eyes widened. Magnus and I used to date a long way back until a certain death eater broke us apart, making us enemies. We couldn't be in the same room without fighting with each other or Magnus punching me.

"What the hell are you doing here, bitch?" Magnus's voice growled, making me realize he was sitting next to me.

"None of your business, freak," I spat.

"He's with us," Mark grinned.

"Leave him out of this!" Magnus hissed, grabbing me by the arm and pulled me out of the bar.

"Let go of me!" I screamed, trying to break free.

*slap*

"What the fuck is wrong with you, Alexander?! Doing drugs, getting wasted, and worst of all, meaningless sex?! This isn't you!" Magnus screamed back, shaking me.

"WHY THE HELL DO YOU CARE!" I hissed, punching him to be able to break free.

"ALEXANDER, YOU'LL END UP KILLING YOURSELF!"

"STAY OUT OF THIS!! IT'S MY LIFE NOW AND YOU CAN'T CHANGE THAT!" Magnus growled and grabbed me by the shirt, slamming me down on the ground.

"YOU, punch, DON'T, punch, GET, punch, IT, punch, DO, punch, YOU, punch,?!" Magnus spat.

"WHEN WILL YOU UNDERSTAND I DON'T CARE?!" I flinched a little when I received another punch.

Magnus hissed, letting me go.

"How can you do this to yourself, Alexander?" Magnus asked calmly, giving me a kick.

"I-I..."

Magnus sighed, giving up and walked away.
