Alec's POV
All I never wanted was happening at this very moment. Clary was crying as she hugged Luke and Simon one last time as an ally since the Clave decided to force the downworld to go to war against us and they expected us to kill every single one of them. Izzy was crying as she said goodbye to her best friend, Maia. I sighed as I looked around the entire room trying to find my ex boyfriend. I wanted one more kiss before we become enemies. Alexander," a familiar voice spoke behind me. I turned and brought Magnus into a hug. "Why is this happening?" I whispered.
"Shh, we'll fix this"
"Can I get one more kiss from you?"
"Alexander-"
"Magnus, please"
Magnus sighed before finally giving in. The kiss started out gently, then eventually became passionate. "Promise me you'll live as long as possible through this war," Magnus spoke after pulling away. "I can't promise that," I replied.
"Try"
"I will"
