2. Magnus Knows (Sorta)

"I'm sorry, what?"

"Your name is not your real name, is it?"

"I-"

"Whatever. Until I figure this out, figure out who you really are, you're not to be trusted"

Now

Alec's POV
"Why do you think I'm faking my identity?" I asked.

"Please, it's obvious. I know exactly who you are," Magnus answered.

"Y-you do? Then who am I really, Magnus Bane?"

"You're like Tessa. Half warlock, half shadowhunter. But if you were asking about your real name, I don't know yet." Tessa shook her head.

"Why don't you just tell us your real name, Jackson?" She suggested.

"Because-" I started.

"Jackson, we need to go now!" Peter yelled.

"We need to hide. No explanation"

I sighed as we all sat in a dark and crowded room. Peter wasn't right next to me because he was usually the lookout, no one wanted him dead. Instead, I was crammed up next to Magnus, so close that his hands were somehow wrapped around my waist and almost kissing.

"How long do we have to stay here?" Magnus whispered.

"Depends. They could be here for a hour or more," I whispered back, shrugging.

"Jackson, what exactly do they want?"

"They want me dead"

"What, why?"

"Because I wasn't supposed to survive. That's why I have a fake identity. I can't tell anyone my real name, even if I trust them, because they might mess up and not call me Jackson"

Magnus sighed before trying to get away from me, only resulting in falling on top of me and our lips met each others. It was only then a couple hours later that Peter yelled at us that it was all clear.

"So.." Peter spoke, staring at Magnus and I.

"Um, it's not what it looks like," I blushed while Magnus awkwardly crawled off me.

"You guys were kissing, was it just my imagination?" Peter asked, annoyed.

"It was an accident. I'm sorry I kissed your boyfriend," Magnus sighed. Peter just stared blankly at him before walking away.

"I.. don't know how to thank you," I stuttered.

"Don't, it isn't necessary. Jackson, I... your secret is safe with me," Magnus replied. That was when I realized, Peter wasn't mad at me because I was kissing Magnus but because he was worried that Magnus would've figured out who I was. And I think he just did...

Next time Peter, Jackson, Catarina, Tessa, and Magnus all go to battle. While in a difficult situation, Jackson has to decide whether he reveals who he really is or not
