Magnus's POV

Watching Alexander train was everything perfect. His body usually glowed as a literal god (but when didn't he not though). Plus, it was always an excuse to see him shirtless.

"Stop staring, Magnus. You'll get me killed," Alec joked.

"It's just training, my dear," I grinned. Alec gave me a glare.

"It's more than that," Alec snapped, rolling his eyes. All of a sudden, the alarms started going off.

"What's happening?" I asked.

"No idea," Alec answered as he put down his seraph blade and ran to the Institute's lobby. "Jace, what's going on?" He asked after we reached the lobby.

"Looks like a greater demon, but it's not in this dimension. Seems like something is happening with whatever the dimension of hell we're dealing with right now," Jace explained.

"How powerful?"

"More powerful than we know"

A pause.

"Lilith?" Alec asked. If it wasn't Lilith, then there could only be one more greater demon which could only mean.., I thought to myself.

"Magnus, any ideas?" Alec asked, bringing me out of my thoughts.

"It's possible it's Lilith. But if it's not, it's-" I started.

"Asmodeous," Jace finished.

"Are you sure?" Alec asked.

"Positive. It's like he's calling out to us"

I shook my head, trying to figure out why this was happening.

"Baby, you okay?" Alec asked.

"No. If Jace is right then you need to know Asmodeous is my-" I started.

"I think he's in the Institute!" Jace screamed, interrupting me once again.

"But you said-" Alec started.

"I knew I hated shadowhunters for a reason," a voice answered.

"You must be Asmodeous. I'm-"

"Alexander Lightwood, I know"

"You know me?" Of course he does, baby.

A laugh. "I know everything," Asmodeous whispered.

"What a surprise," I mumbled.

Alec's POV

"What does he want, baby?" I asked Magnus when I pulled him outside of the meeting room. Jace and Izzy were watching Asmodeous.

"Alexander, he could want anything," I answered.

"What were you going to tell Jace and I earlier?"

"Alexander..."

"You don't have to tell me if you-"

"He's my father"

Silence. I closed my eyes, not wanting to see Alec's reaction.

"Baby, look at me. I love you and I always will. I don't care who your dad is, I care who you are and you're far from a greater demon," Alec whispered, pulling me into a hug.

"Promise me you won't tell anyone, not even Jace," I whispered, kissing him softly.

"I promise. We should probably go.. see what Asmodeous wants"

"Whatever he wants, it can't be good.."

"Alec!" Jace yelled, making Magnus and I run inside.

"What the hell are you doing?" I asked, noticing Magnus's father close to my sister.

"You were taking too long," Asmodeous grinned.

"What do you want? Are you here to kill us all? Because you won't-"

Laughter. "If I was here to kill all of you, don't you think I'd do it already?"

"He always has a plan," Magnus whispered in my ear.

"How do I know you don't have a plan?" I threatened.

"You just have to trust me. And tell your boyfriend I can hear everything he's saying and thinking," Asmodeous hissed. I was shocked, so was Magnus. We both expected him to call Magnus his son.

"Oh please. Alexander will never trust you," Magnus growled.

"How dare you!" Asmodeous screamed, making Magnus fly into the wall.

"MAGNUS!" I yelled, running to him.

"Alexander, baby, I'm okay.." Magnus whispered, kissing me on the forehead.

"I'LL KILL YOU!" I screamed at Asmodeous.

"Not if I kill you first. And don't think I don't know everything about you. I think you should let Jace Herondale and Isabelle Lightwood out of this room," he smiled.

Jace and Izzy gave me a look and I nodded.

"What do you want?" I hissed.

"A favor," Asmodeous grinned.
