Alec's POV
You don't know what it's like every day coming to school only to get kicked by the populars. There were five members total so they would take turns kicking me five days a week. However, their leader, Magnus Bane, was my next door neighbor. He would come over to my house and kick me in my bedroom for the weekend. "Hey loser, watch where you're going!" Raphael yelled after I bumped into him. "I-," I gulped. "Cat got your tongue? Or you can't defend yourself?" Magnus laughed before pushing me on the floor and started kicking me repeatedly. "You're so pathetic, you know that?" Catarina spat.
"Not pathetic, Cat. He's weak"
Everyone laughed before leaving me on the cold, hard floor. Tears flooded my eyes as I struggled to get up only to fall back down thanks to my clumsy self. I sighed and crawled to the staircase. As I limped to my first class, I couldn't happen to notice the insults on my locker making me cry even more. But of course when I got to the classroom door, I forced myself to stop crying and slowly moved my way to the usual seat in the back next to my only best friend, Liliana. "You're bleeding," she whispered. "Badly?" I whispered in return.
"No, here. Clean yourself up"
"Thank you"
I zoned out while the teacher was teaching the lesson. "Alec, what is the answer to five?" Ms. Fray asked. "Um, 346?" I questioned. Almost the entire class was filled with snickers, mostly by Ragnor and Camille.
"That's enough! Alec, you need to pay attention next time"
"Yes, ma'am"
Ragnor held in a laugh. I sighed hoping this class would end soon. Time flew by fast as the bell rang earlier than usual. Making my way to my next class, everyone was staring at me making me lose attention. "Are you stupid or something?!" A voice yelled above me, making me look up. Magnus was giving me the death glare. "I'm sorry," I blurted out.
"You better be"
I backed away slowly until my back was against the lockers. "If you don't punch him, I will," Raphael laughed. "No thank you. I'd rather be kicked," I spat. "Would you? It's time for something different, don't you think?" Magnus growled before spitting on me in the face.
"Let's be reasonable here"
Magnus laughed as he raised his fist. "I don't think so," Magnus hissed before punching me five times, hard. I slid down to the floor in pain where I was being kicked ten times. Magnus growled before forcefully pulled my face up so I'd have to look at him. "Cry, loser," he hissed before punching me again and again until I started crying. Magnus smiled as he shoved me in a locker and kicked me in the face. The last thing I remembered was blacking out.Beep beep beep beep
I slowly opened my eyes and found myself in a hospital bed. "Alec, thank goodness you're alive!" Liliana cried out. "What happened?" I asked.
"You got beaten up very badly. Magnus continued to hit you after you blacked out"
"What happened to him? Did he finally get suspended?"
"Nope, he got off the hook. As usual"
I sighed in frustration. When I was finally allowed to leave the hospital, I literally limped to my bedroom. I froze when I heard the doorbell rang. I heard the sound of my doorknob turning, making me shiver. "You look scared, loser," Magnus laughed in front of me. "I'm not scared of you!" I spat. Magnus glared before circling me.
"You're pathetic, useless, ugly, worthless, and weak"
I said nothing. Magnus laughed before slamming me on the ground, making me yelp. "You're nothing," Magnus smirked as he kicked me repeatedly. "Stop, please stop," I whispered.
"What about, no"
"Seriously?! You beat me to the point I had to go to the hospital and do it all over again?!"
Magnus just laughed before kicking me one last time. "I'll see you tomorrow, loser," Magnus spat then left my room. I sighed in frustration as I slowly pulled myself up.
