I Won't Lose You, I Can't

Alec's POV

One second, everything was fine. I was kissing Magnus in my office to celebrate the return of his magic and it was headed in a direction that the kiss would become heated when all of a sudden, Magnus collapses on the floor.

"Magnus! Wake up!" I screamed, falling down to my knees, wrapping an arm around his chest. He groaned, moving his hand to hold mine.

"Alexander...." He whispered, struggling to get the words out.

"It's going to be okay. You're fine," I cried.

"Call.... Catarina," Magnus whispered. I didn't even hesitate to call her right there and then. A few seconds later, she appeared.

"What happened?" Cat asked, using her magic to try to heal Magnus.

"I don't know, he just... collapsed," I cried out.

"Alec, he's going to be okay. I promise," Cat reassured me while Magnus squeezed my hand.

"Alexander.... I love you. Aku cinta kamu," Magnus whispered, slowly closing his eyes.

"No, Magnus. Stay awake! Stay with me!" I screamed.

"Did you really think it would be that simple? He may have his magic back but there's a lot of consequences to deal with," a demonic voice spat over the whole room.

"You're going to pay! Show yourself, you coward!" I screamed. Silence. Then all of a sudden, there he was in front of Magnus's unconscious state.

"I can stop this, you know. However, I'm afraid I'd have to take him back to Edom," Asmodeous growled.

I hesitated, looking back and forth between Magnus and his father.

"Take him. I'm not going to let him die," I cried.

"Alexander... no," Magnus whispered in protest.

"No, Magnus. I've already lost you once. I'm not prepared to do that again," I hissed. "Take him," I repeated to his father.

"As you wish, Alexander Lightwood," Asmodeous growled.

"Don't you dare call him that..." Magnus said, weakly. I sighed, kissing him on the lips before he was dragged away from me... in chains.

"DON'T YOU DARE HURT HIM! I'LL BE COMING FOR YOU!" I screamed.

"I'd like to see you try," Asmodeous grinned, laughing.

That moment was when I allowed tears to fall. You'll see me try, all right, I thought.

I'm so sorry for this very sad one-shot but I just came up with a theory I had to write
