3. Ender's Game (third is a charm)

Alec's POV

"Stop defending him, Clary!" I sighed before leaving her alone.

"Alexander.." Magnus whispered in my ear when I entered our secret meeting spot in the courtyard, near the garden.

"Not now. I can't keep lying to Clary, it's time to go public.." I sighed, giving him a gentle kiss on the forehead.

"Alexander...."

"No more excuses, Magnus! Either we go public or it's over between us!" Magnus pouted.

"Then I guess it's over then..." I sighed after Magnus left. Having Magnus in my life made it a little better to live but now that we've broken up, I have no reason whatsoever to live, not even Clary.

"I love you too, Magnus," I whispered. The rest of the day seemed to go very slowly. I watched in jealousy when the bitch and Magnus made out in front of everyone and was extremely happy.

"Alec, are you alright?" Clary asked during study hall, my last period of the day.

"I'm fine... just ready to go home," I answered. After that, the best moment of my entire life happened.

Everything seemed to go slower than normal when Camille stormed in and slapped me.

"Alec!" Clary yelled.

"What the hell, Camille?!" Magnus growled, appearing by her side.

"Come on, Magnus! You would do the same thing!" Camille argued.

"You're a bitch," Clary spat.

"Nah, you are," Camille snapped back.

"Clary, please," I finally spoke up.

"Alec-" Clary tried to protest.

"Your brother deserved it," Camille grinned. She was about to slap me again when all of a sudden, Magnus grabbed her hands tightly.

"Alexander doesn't deserve anything, bitch," Magnus hissed and let go hard, making Camille slide all the way to the wall.

"Magnus, how could you?!" 

"We're over, Camille!" Magnus growled, grabbing me by the shirt and pulled me into a passionate kiss.

On my way home, I noticed Camille's state of unhappiness and anger, making me smile. I would've said I felt bad for her, but honestly, no one likes her, not even her "boyfriend."

Tomorrow, my life would be completely different and I knew I wouldn't be complaining.
