New Years Eve Kiss

Alec's POV
I sighed as my phone rang while I was finishing up work. "What?" I asked, answering the phone. "Alec, this is Catarina," Cat answered.
"Magnus's friend, right?"
"Mhm. Now I know you don't do parties, but you should throw one for Magnus"
"Wouldn't he be already throwing one? I mean it's New Years Eve"
"Like Christmas, he usually celebrates the holidays alone"
"I guess I will"
"Magnus will love you for this!"
"Yeah, yeah, I'm sure"
"Bye Alec"
"Bye Catarina"
I smiled to myself before leaving my office. I knew exactly who to ask for help on making this party. Grabbing my phone, I texted Jace, Izzy, Clary, and Simon.

To: J, Iz, Clary, Simon

I need help planning a party for Magnus

From: Iz

Yay!!!

From: Simon

Like a surprise?

To: J, Iz, Clary, Simon

Kinda, yeah

From J:

Clary and I are in

I laughed before texting thank you and then texted Raphael and Cat.

To: Raphael, Cat

Distract Magnus for me?

From: Raphael

Aye

From: Cat

Sure

Five hours later....

Magnus's POV
"Can't I go home yet?!" I whined. I loved shopping, but today I really needed a break. "Sure," Cat replied. Raphael laughed and said his goodbyes. I sighed before taking my time to the loft.

Alec's POV
As I waited outside of the loft, Cat and Raphael finally came running inside. I sighed and sat down on the steps, playing with the ring on my finger. For Christmas, Magnus got me a promise ring and I've worn it ever since. "Alexander, it's freezing! Why aren't you inside?!" Magnus asked, making me look up and smile softly. "I wanted to walk you in, of course," I replied, kissing his cheek. Magnus smiled and intertwined our fingers together before walking together.
"What have you been up to on this fine, cold day?"
"Oh, the usual"
Magnus chuckled and kissed my nose, warming it up instantly. As I slowly opened the door, I heard Magnus gasp. "Alexander, you did this for me?" Magnus asked. "Of course I did. A little birdie told me you celebrate the holidays alone," I answered before bringing him in a long and passionate kiss.
