Izzy's POV

Today marked the deadliest day of the Nephilim history. A group of vampires brought down the west and east towers of the Institute, killing at least five hundred and severely injuring a thousand shadowhunters. A knock on the door interrupted my thoughts.

"Catarina! Tessa! Magnus..?" I spoke, staring at the three warlocks in the front of me.

"What? You said you needed many warlocks as possible, I just happened to be available," Magnus replied, annoyed. I sighed and allowed them to enter.

"What happened?" Catarina asked, covering her mouth with her hand.

"West and east towers were brought down. Stewart Johnson believes it was caused by vampires," I explained.

"Stewart Johnson? Why does he believe that?" Tessa asked, confused.

"The head of the Institute. He saw vampires leaving the towers before they were brought down. It was either them or a traitor"

"Wait, what happened to Alexander?" Magnus asked, horrified.

"Izzy, please, you have to convince Stewart to see my finance," Alec cried out, making everyone turn around.

"You! Get out of the Institute NOW!" Stewart yelled.

"Let him see his finance, he needs to know if he's okay!" I screamed.

"Aunt Izzy, why are you screaming?" A young boys voice asked.

"HOW DARE YOU BRING HIM HERE!!" Stewart growled, making Alec flinch.

"LET ME SEE MY FINANCE!!" Alec screamed back.

"ENOUGH! I don't know the full story here, but just let Alec see his finance. It's better than screaming. Plus, we're scaring the little kid here," Catarina sighed. Tessa looked uncomfortable while Magnus looked kinda confused but hurt at the same time. He had no idea the child was his and Alec wasn't going to tell him anytime soon.

"Izzy, you take care of the kid. We're going to heal the others," Tessa added before running off with her friends in hopes to heal most of the Nephilim.

"You have five minutes, Lightwood," Stewart hissed before walking away.

"Alec, you need to tell him..." I spoke.

"No, Max doesn't need to know who his other father is," Alec spat before walking off to his finance, Henry.

Magnus's POV

"It's almost impossible.." Catarina cried. Every victim was bleeding from the inside, which almost made the healing process incurable.

"Catarina, you need to save my finance.. please," Alec cried. His finance just happened to be the Nephilim right next to the shadowhunter I was trying to heal.

"How did you get deruned, Alec?" Tessa asked, curious.

"That's none of your business," Alec hissed.

"Is it because of the child?" Catarina asked. Alec said nothing.

"Are you raising him alone, Alec? Maybe his other father-" Tessa started.

"His other father is nothing to him and never will be," Alec spat.

"May I ask why?"

"His other father is dead to me if he ever comes near my son"

"Does he even know his other father?" Catarina growled.

"No, and he won't," Alec replied.

"Your five minutes is up!" Stewart growled.

"I think he needs more than five minutes with his finance but okay," I mumbled.

"What was that, warlock?! Why don't you deal with your son?! He's lucky to be living right now but he shouldn't. Max is an abomination!" I gave him a glare. Wait, did he say my son? Does that mean I'm the other father?

"Max won't stop crying! (I know nothing about toddlers so sorry if this is inaccurate)" Izzy yelled, annoyed.

"Here, let me have him," I sighed. Izzy looked at Alec then to me before giving Max to me. Immediately, he stopped crying.

"Take your abomination child out of this Institute!" Stewart growled.

"My son, if what you say is true, is not an abomination! You are!" I spat. I snapped my fingers and Stewart vanished into thin air.

"Where did you send him?" Izzy asked, a little horrified and shocked.

"Somewhere in France probably," I shrugged.

"Dada?" Max asked, waking up from his slumber.

"Max, come here..." Alec ordered. Max stayed put and moved closer to me. "Max, I swear.."

"He's my son too, you know? He deserves to know me," I hissed.

"You will never be his father!!! Max, we're going home now!" Alec screamed.

"No! I want to stay with papa!" Max yelled.

"You want to stay with papa?! Fine, but I won't be part of your life anymore!" Alec hissed before storming out of the Institute.
