Hoshi (Pt. 2)

A week has passed and I haven't heard from Hoshi. The arguing has died down a few days ago. Maybe he actually proposed to her and moved out. He's an idiot but...why do I keep hoping he would come knocking at my bedroom door?

"(Y/n)? Are you listening?"

I shook my head and smiled at Mingyu. He was here to help me figure out the schedule for seventeen.

"Sorry. What did you say?", I asked him.

"You're thinking about him, aren't you?", he asked.

"What are you talking about?", I laughed nervously.

"I'm not stupid. Everyone, even Soonyoung, knows you have feelings for him", he said.

"He..knows? Why didn't he say anything?", I asked.

"Sohyun told him after he found out she wasn't pregnant. He hasn't left his room in days. He's embarrassed to talk to you", he said.

"He could've just talked to me. They've been together for two years. I understand why he would believe her", I said.

"But you two were friends for five years. He should realize that the person he's supposed to be with is you", he said.

I coughed as I choked on my saliva. He's gotta be kidding right??

"Why the hell would you say that?? He doesn't belong with me. I'm just (y/n). Did you see how Sohyun looks? I look nothing like her", I mumbled.

"He isn't like that. You should know that", he said.

"Really? Because all the girls he's been with are way better looking than me", I said.

"But all of those girls only wanted him for money. You don't. Both of you guys like each other yet you're too shy to talk to him and he's too embarrassed to talk to you. Make a move", he said.

"I-I can't. We should finish these papers. I don't wanna get fired", I said.

A few hours later, some of the guys went out to eat before practice. I still had a few things to finish so they could be prepared for their comeback.

I went to their studio to drop off some papers. Little did I know Hoshi was sitting on the chair with headphones on. When I turned around, I screamed when I saw him. He screamed as well, dropping his headphones onto the floor.

"(Y/n)? W-What are you doing here?", he asked.

"Just..dropping some papers off. Sorry for bothering you. I'll get going now", I said and quickly went towards the door.

"Wait!..can I talk to you for a sec?", he asked.

"Um..about what?", I asked, still facing the door.

"I want to apologize for not believing what you said. I should've believed you. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I know you were just looking out for me", he said.

"I'm always gonna be looking out for you. You always look out for me. Even though you two argued a lot, I know you really liked her", I said.

"That's what I thought. Maybe I was just blinded by the idea of being in a committed relationship, I didn't really focus on the person that's meant for me", he said.

I dare not look at him. If I do, he'll be able to see me blushing like crazy. Was he talking about me? Was Mingyu right? I heard him get up from the chair and start walking towards me. My hand was on the doorknob, shaking out of nervousness.

"I'm sorry I didn't realize you were the one for me. I know you won't forgive me for choosing Sohyun over you. I'll give you space so you can think about it. That's if you want to think about it. But please let me know how you feel. I'd go crazy if I lost someone that's meant for me", he said and walked passed me to head towards the door.

I watched as he walked out, leaving me there alone and confused. I really do like him but I don't want to be another one of his mistakes. I want him to be 100% sure that he really does like me.

Weeks later, I haven't been myself. I can tell Hoshi is still waiting for my answer. Later today they have to leave because they're performing.

"(Y/n), are you coming with us to watch us off?", Dino asked.

"Um.."

From the corner of my eye, I can see Hoshi waiting desperately for an answer.

"No..I have a lot to do here. Go..or you'll be late", I said.

One by one they stepped out of the house and went into the van. Hoshi was last. He was hesitating to step out of the house.

"I guess you know your answer. I don't blame you. We won't be back for a few days. Hopefully by then you'll be able to change your mind. I gotta go", Hoshi said.

He smiled and walked out of the house with his bags in his hand. It's just for a few days but the thought of him leavening hurts me. What if he finds someone while he's away? It'll be too late for me.

I quickly ran out of the house. Before Hoshi could get in the van, I ran towards him. He turned back and that's when I hugged him.

"I'll be waiting here when you get back", I said.

I can feel him smiling as he hugged me back. The hug lasted a few hours until we were interrupted.

"Finally! Jeez you guys are meant for each other if it takes this long for you to get together", Hansol joked.

"Hey lovebirds, we gotta get going. (Y/n), are you coming after all or what?", Seungcheol smirked.

"Um..."

I looked at Hoshi to find him pouting. His sad face was getting to me.

"Sure. Why not. I just have to get back early", I said.

Hoshi smiled and pulled me into the van. Everyone kept talking about their comeback while Hoshi kept staring at me. I rolled my eyes and relaxed as I can finally be happy with someone.
