The House wasn't as big as I saw it on my dad's computer but I liked it. My six year old self was skipping on the lawn as my father was inside, unpacking his stuff. I was always interested in little things, like the types of rockets there are around the world. One by one I picked each rock and laid them out in a line on the sidewalk to see the difference. As I was enjoying my time, some little girls were walking by and noticed me on the ground. One of the girls kicked the rocks and laughed at me.

"You're such a weirdo", she said, laughing at my sad expression.

"Why do you dress like a boy?",the other girl laughed.

"Aren't girls supposed to wear girly clothes? You dress like a boy", they said.

They continued mocking me and making fun of the way I was dressed. It's true I don't dress like every other girl out there but it's not my fault. My mother left us when I was just one year old so my father has been taking care of me. He doesn't know anything about what girls like but he tries his best.

"Hey!", one of them grabbed my cap and observed all the little rips and dirt that was stained on parts of it.

"Ew, what are you? A hobo?", she snickered.

I tried getting back my cap but they pushed me down. Then someone yelled at them and ran towards us. The girls rolled their eyes and walked away.

"Are you okay?"

A boy stood in front of me, lending his hand so he could help me up. He picked up my cap from the floor and gave it to me.

"Thanks", I said.

"My name is Jeonghan. I live next door. Are you new here?", the boy asked.

"Yeah. We just moved in today. And my name is (y/n)", I said.

"Cool. Do you wanna play with me?", he asked.

"Sure", I smiled and followed him.

*13 Years later*

I fixed my hair into a ponytail and brushed the fuzz off of my dress. I put on the necklace my father gave me for my 16th birthday and smiled as I felt comfortable with the way I'm dressed.

"Sweetie, Jeonghan is at the door", my father yelled from the living room.

I quickly grabbed my phone and looked at myself once again before heading out of my room towards the living room. Jeonghan was standing next to my father, a vibrant smile when he saw me.

I kissed my father goodbye and Jeonghan and I were headed towards the beach. Apparently he had a surprise for me. As I sat in his car, I was looking down at my lap, fingers fumbling together.

This was the first time that Jeonghan asks me out on a first date. We already know we have feelings for each other but never expressed it in a way.

"You look beautiful (y/n)", he said, glancing over at me and smiled.

"Thanks", I returned the smile but my cheeks were tinted pink.

He parked the car near a pole and opened the door for me. I noticed twinkling lights near the sand. Before I could figure out what was there, Jeonghan took my hand in his and began to walk.

Before us was a blue blanket laid flat onto the sand as lights surrounded it a few feet away. He took off his shoes and placed them on the sand before sitting down on the blanket. With his hand, he patted the spot next to him as if he wanted me to sit there. I chuckled nervously and took off my shoes, placing them near his. I carefully sat down next to him and covered my legs with my jacket.

"It's beautiful isn't it?", he asked.

I followed where his eyes were looking at and sighed as we sat quietly, watching the stars above us.

"Yeah. It is", I smiled, admiring the twinkling stars.

"...you know, I was actually really nervous before today. I know. It's ridiculous. We've been friends for a really long time and suddenly I'm getting nervous around you", he said.

He glanced down at me, keeping his eyes on mine and sighed. I had a feeling he was looking at me so when I ripped my eyes away from the sky, our faces were so close, noses almost touching.

"I really like you (y/n)", he whispered.

"I..really like you too", I sighed.

His lips slowly curled upwards, showing that angel face that I always enjoy. His hand went up to my cheek and softly caressed as his eyes never left mine. We leaned in until our noses were slightly touching. We were so close that I could feel his breath.

Then that's when we felt water dripping from the sky. It's weird how one minute the sky was clear and now it's covered with grey clouds, causing water to drip everywhere.

I quickly pulled my jacket over my head and we ran towards his car. We got inside and laughed at how drenched our hair and clothes were. Our laughter died down and in the car was silent. Our eyes fell upon each other and it seemed like we were the only two people there.

My eyes glanced down at his lips and noticed how thing they were. I always admired the smile on his face. Every time he would see me, his face would light up. He's seriously an angel.

"(Y/n)?"

I shook my head and noticed the small smirk on his face. I realized I was staring at his lips for quite too long.

"S-Sorry", I mumbled.

"It's okay. I have very kissable lips. They're irresistible", he said, chuckling afterwards at the ridiculous thing that came out of his mouth.

"I wouldn't know", I mumbled, looking away and counting the droplets of water that rolled down the window, racing with one another to see which will reach below first.

"Do you wanna find out?", he asked.

Chills spread up my spine, causing my face to warm up. Thinking about how I would have my first kiss, even if I had one,  makes me question whether I'm good at it or not, because no one wants someone who's a bad kisser.

Obviously he noticed how tense I got so he took his hand and placed it on top of mine. I slowly looked over at him, smirk being replaced by a small and soft smile. He shifted forward, not taking his eyes off mine. Once he was inches away from me, I took a deep breath and felt his lips on mine. I couldn't describe it. It was just magical. There is nothing in this world better than getting your first kiss with the person who has genuine mutual feelings as you.
