You were in the office, organizing papers while your boss was sitting on the desk chair, looking at his computer. You would glance at him a few times, noticing how focused he was on this project he was working on.
"Sir, is there something else I can help you with? I'm done with all the things I had to do", you said, standing in front of his desk.
He had his index finger on his bottom lip, thinking about what he should do. He then glanced at you and motioned you to sit down, which you did.
"As you may already know, the company is losing many customers. We're trying to come up with ideas so we don't go out of business. Do you think you can review the products and come up with something that will want customers to buy whatever we sell?", he asked.
"Sure. I'll get right to it", you smiled.
"Great. I'll send you a link and you can review it from there", he smiled and started typing on his computer.
You stood up and began walking out.
"And (y/n).."
You turned around, facing your boss. He was looking at you for a few seconds before talking.
"There's no need to rush. I know you've been working hard and I'm very grateful to have someone like you working for us. But you overwork yourself. Take breaks here and then. You have the whole weekend to work on it", he said.
"Thank you sir but I'm a perfectionist. I won't be able to work comfortably knowing I'm taking breaks. I work better if I'm very focused on tasks that I have to do", you smiled softly before walking to your desk.
Right away you began reading the information about the product. Mr. Boo will change products every week or so and he does such an amazing job. Although he's been beating himself up these past few weeks. Because of how many customers they lost, they weren't making any money so a few of the employees quit. You and maybe around four or five employees are left.
It's been almost five hours since you've been working on the project. Your stomach growled but you paid no attention to it. You took a sip out of your fourth coffee, hoping that would do something.
"(Y/n), everyone's on their lunch break. Why aren't you?", Mr. Boo asked as he walked out of his office.
"Not hungry", you said, not looking away from the computer screen.
"I doubt you're not hungry. Come on, I'll accompany you. I'm getting something to eat as well", he said.
"Sir, I'd rather finish this as soon as I can. I'm almost done", you said, glancing back at him.
He shook his head and walked towards your computer, removing your hand from the mouse. You softly gasped as he slightly bent down to get a better view of the computer screen. While he saved any work that you've done, you couldn't stop staring at his face. Sure you might have a small crush on him but of course he wouldn't feel the same way about you which is why you try to keep it professional.
"When I tell you to do something that involves your health, it's not because I'm your boss, it's because I care about you. Next time I tell you to take a break or to go eat, I expect you to comply. Do I make myself clear?", he said, facing you.
"Y-Yes sir", you mumbled softly.
"Great. Let's go", he smiled and motioned you to walk first.
You walked towards the café downstairs and was about to order a coffee but Mr. Boo interrupted you and ordered two plates of club sandwiches with a side of fries. You sat in a booth near the window so you can look at the view which you love.
