The doctor from before came into my room with a stack of papers in his hands.
"Lee Jihoon we've done testing and have done some research with your symptoms." His mouth tilted sideways as his loud shoes echoed the ground as he walked.
He pulled out a chair and looked through the papers. "There's no easy way to say this, but with your symptoms it's very possible to have an additional condition as well."
The way he was speaking worried me.
He cleared his throat to get his voice smoother.
"But we think it's possible that you also have a pancreatic cancer."
And that's when I felt the lump form in my throat.
That's when a billion things ran through my head all at once.
It was then, when I realized I might not see Soonyoung as much as I wanted to.
"P-Pancreatic cancer..?" I weakly echoed. "Isn't that... fatal?" My voice broke.
The doctor let out a mere sigh.
"Yes it is." He paused. "You need surgery."
I already knew I needed this, but what if they were right?
I would die if they were right.
