CHAPTER 10: REPENTANCE

SERENITY'S POV

It's been a week since matapos ang nangyari sa amin ni Samantha, actually di ko alam kung bakit ko ginawa yun. Alam ko masaya ako kapag magkasama kami, I feel safe at alam kong mahal ko rin siya pero hindi gaya ng pagmamahal niya sa akin.

I'm here sa studio room ng school, as usual I'm alone. Sobrang nagsisisi ako na hindi ko siya sinagot, di ko tuloy alam kung paano ko siya haharapin. Ang alam ko lang ay sobra yung galit niya sa akin and the worst part is I think there's something between my twin sister and Samantha. She's getting sweeter kay Samantha, hindi ko kaya if she's gonna be my rival pag dating kay Samantha. If it's another woman, it's okay to me, but my twin sister? Hindi ko ata matatanggap.

FLASHBACK

"Serenity, you need to go to the garden." sabi ni Trinity.

"Okay, I will just finish something here." sabi ko sa kanya. Garden? What do we need to do there? After finishing what I'm doing, I talked to the guests and visitors for a while and then lumabas na ako papuntang garden. I walked into the entrance of the garden then I heard someone strumming a guitar, I continued walking. I saw Trinity, casting roses and paper hearts; si Kim, playing piano and I saw Sammy, strumming her guitar and she also began to sing.

Malapit na ako sa kanya, I was feeling nervous and I didn't know what to do. I need to walk towards her. Pagkatapos niyang kumanta sakto naman na andito na ako sa harap niya, di ko alam kung anong dapat kong gawin or sabihin at nagsimula na nga siyang magsalita.

"Serenity, it's been 2 years since I asked you if I can court you, and you said yes. Alam mo ba na sobrang saya ko noon, I felt like I was the luckiest girl on Earth. Simula noon, lahat ng paraan na kaya kong gawin ginagawa ko, siguro naman it's time na to ask you this." sabi niya sa akin and she knelt in front of me.

"Ms. Serenity Citrine Serrano-Grande, will you be my girlfriend?" She asked me, I can't talk." Sere, please answer me." sabi niya ulit sa akin. I saw her eyes, I think she wanted to cry. What will I do? Di ko na alam ang gagawin ko, I love her pero hindi ko mahihigitan yung pagmamahal niya sa akin.

"You love me right? Ramdam ko yun kapag magkasama tayo." sabi ko sa kanya, but I didn't respond.

"Hindi mo naman ako papayagan na manligaw if you don't like or love me right?" Tanong niya sa akin.

"Serenity." sabi din ni Trinity. I love her but I was so scared, I'm too afraid of what people might think and say to us and to our family.

"Serenity." tawag ni Sammy sa akin. This time I directly look in her eyes, nakatitig kami sa isa't isa, I can feel the pain and I am hurting.

"Serenity, will you be my..." I didn't let her finish, I suddenly took my hand and I ran.

"Serenity!" Sigaw ni Trinity at sinundan niya ako.
