I stayed for about another week so that my body was forced to heal. Louis and Carter came to see me every day. Niall came every other day. Harry, Zayn and Ms. Payne came to see me once. Liam never showed up again. I don’t know why I kept expecting him to come. I knew he wouldn’t. He wasn’t going to make an effort. Lou said that he would get Liam to come to me as long as I would talk to him. He obviously wasn’t doing a good job with it.
“So, where do you want to eat your first day out of the hospital?”
Carter was driving me to the Payne’s because the boys had an interview and Ms. Payne had to work. I guess Mrs. Shay warmed up to me and was understanding that I needed a ride home, so she let Carter come pick me up.
“I don’t care. I’m not really that hungry.”
“You’ve got to be starving babe. Hospital food is horrible and disgusting. I’m surprised you haven’t died from it.” He laughed.
I was starving, but I was too stressed to eat. Liam was eating at the back of my head. I wanted to just forget about it for the time being and enjoy the fact that my abuse was over and I was out of the hospital for good. But no; I have to worry about how Liam feels. Why should I be worrying? It doesn’t make sense. He hurt me. All I did to him was lie to him about my mother. Sure, it was a big lie, but look at what he’s been doing. He left me. I lost my best friend, and he gained fame, success, girls, friends, etc. His life was made while mine was being destroyed.
“I’m just not hungry. You probably need to get back to work anyhow.” I waved him off.
“If you’re stressing over Liam_”
“It doesn’t matter okay?” I whined, shutting him up.
We drove in silence the rest of the ride to the Payne’s. He pulled into the drive way. There were multiple cameras along with fans spread across the walk way. Carter and I groaned in unison. He stepped out first, and all the cameras darted from the doorway to him. He walked over to my side and opened the door. I suddenly became very self-conscience about the bandages all over my face.
“You look fine. They aren’t going to make assumptions. We just gotta get you into the house without damaging you further.”
I looked out at the people standing on the walkway. Didn’t they respect privacy? I then spotted the two cars which were used to transport the boys. They just did their first interview since they’ve been here. Their location was practically given away. All their privacy was gone.
I hobbled out of the car into Carters arms. He helped me down the walk as the Paparazzi shot pictures and asked questions.
“Are you two dating?”
“What is your relationship with the boys?”
“Are you family friends?”
“Are you the girl Liam is upset about?”
My head shot up looking towards the pressman that asked that questions. His eyes lit up at my sudden reaction. Carter rushed me along, moving me quickly so no more assumptions would be made. We made it to the door and we crashed into it together. I sat down on the nearest chair, panting.
